Blue Jays' TJ House was taken off the field by ambulance after being hit in the head by a line drive. It was not pretty.

Mariners down 23-1 in the 6th. Pretty entertaining game, I guess?
So Jays purchase Sanchez's contract for $535k
There's a lot of talk about this around T.O and how Boras is all pissed the Jays are mistreating Sanchez etc...
I don't know the ins/outs of Baseball as much as I do other sports, so is this the norm? I get Boras' angle, of course he wants the most money for his players but is he right? What is the general standard across the league when it comes to young guys like this?
I remember years ago when Trout signed a $1M contract, I was thinking wow that's low for a perennial MVP but it was also the highest $$$ for someone in his position, is this the same position that Sanchez is in right now? (I believe Trout then went on to sign his big contract the following year)
Sanchez?

Aaron Sanchez
Yeah, basically the short version is a players first two or three years are essentially at the minimum, then after that it's three years of arbitration then they can hit free agency. Players like trout, posey, bumgarner, teams will offer them a huge raise to buy out a year or two of free agency in exchange for a higher salary despite the players lack of leverage. It's why Bumgarners current contract is considered one of the most team friendly deals for a staff ace ever done. You got 3rd and fourth starters making as much or more than him, but I think this is the last year for that contract. Dude is going to get paid.
