This show is all levels of fucked up.. I love it
Taking it one episode a day, but the pretty common consensus I've heard it's that 3 is the best and 4 is the worst of the season.
Just started this show yesterday and I'm primed to finish it tomorrow.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to be permanently emotionally scarred by some of these episodes; especially The Entire History of You.
i was skeptical when i heard netflix picked the show up, but thankfully brooker's still involved and it's been phenomenal as usual. i've watched up through episode 4, i definitely would not rate that at the bottom either.
Episode 4 was a long build up but it paid off. Two was the weakest.
Regarding episode 5
Spoiler: show
Loved this show!
This season though... Ep 4 was definitely my favorite, maybe the 80s soundtrack got to me?
overall, I kinda felt like this season had 'too much cursing, for the sake of cursing'. I usually don't care about this kind of thing, but it was just really overdone this season.
Still good stuff though.
I'm a puss.. I quietly wept through ep4
Finished earlier today. It's hard to choose the best ones but I still feel episode two was the weakest.
I love how divided everyone is with their favorite. I thought two was alright, 3 was pretty much garbage, and 4 was possible the best episode of the series.Spoiler: show
Is anyone getting really stuttery framerates when streaming this on Netflix? Not buffering or anything, but it gets really choppy during high motion scenes, especially ones that are outdoors. I noticed the same thing in White Bear pretty badly, too, but it's been present to some degree almost every episode so far. Episode 5 in particular it gets so bad that I get nauseous trying to watch it. I've noticed it (for White Bear, at least) on two different devices plugged into two different TVs.
1 I thought was a good opener, but the ending let me down
2 was entirely too predictable
3 was boring but I liked the twist (despite seeing it coming a mile away)
4 I thought was boring until it got started but by the end I was there
5 was good and fucked up, left an impression even if you could predict it
6 felt like Black Mirror's take on Luther lol, I loved it but it really needed to be it's own thing
Overall it was a good season but I was let down by a couple episodes.
3 being "predictable" is such a common complaint, but I really don't understand it. It was the only episode I didn't have a good grasp on almost immediately in terms of what would happen, and I kept guessing wrong. Episode 1 was obvious within like 45 seconds of the title card, episode 2 as soon as they talked about VR, episode 4 as soon as she said "I was married for a long time," episode 5 as soon as one of the villagers said "footprints," and episode 6 when they focused on the slightly cracked open window.
It's Black Mirror, it's usually focused on how future technology could enable humans to do terrifying things. 3 was probably the least technology-focused of them, and it's a story that could happen literally today, so I was constantly trying to work out how it would fit back in.
late to the party but i am presently sicker than a dog and laid up at home marathoning Black Mirror and have been blown away. just finished the first two seasons and it's the best thing on tv that's not actually on tv.

showed up again in Jon Hamm Christmas my heart exploded. 5/5 didactic tech dystopias.
White Christmas is such a mindfuck of amazingness. Every episode of Black Mirror is great in their own way.

not gonna lie the San Junipero proposal had me tearing up a little. truly the greatest twist Booker could ever pull was a sweet romance ending happilyish
S4 Teaser came out a couple days ago.
I'd thought I read that S4 was supposed to have 10 episodes, but maybe that just means the other ones will be released in a separate batch.
