To the WP above, I go on SMN or Bard, spam reengage and make sure to kill minis asap on the last boss. AI is on par with an avg. df run, for most stuff, but as others said above, they don't really do mechanics :/

I was cautiously optimistic with this system but I have to say it's probably one of the few things I like that they added to the game. Given that this is just alpha content it will be interesting to see how they grow it... hopefully it will not be left to rot like XI did to play as a monster system.
I don't even bother hitting mobs no matter what job I'm on. Any 2 of arc arc mrd will melt all enemies spamming Engage.
If you aren't aware it's probably a bug but spamming Engage basically resets their "gcd". They will fire shit as fast as animation lock allows. If you plan to exp with this I would get as much of it done as you can before (next?)Tuesday as they probably won't patch it out til Ultimate. Even without the trick 2 archers on regular behavior is only a couple minutes longer.
First clip is the run I discovered it on so it's not optimal but you get a better close up of how it looks. Second run is a sample stone vigil as mentioned above.
I didn't know about that GCD reset LOL that's hilariously OP
explooooiiiittttt
I ran my DPS bracket and it looked like this:
S: ARC (150-200% of A)
A: ROG LNC (around the same damage as my MCH at lower levels)
C: THM PGL (about 50% of A)
Didn't try the engage spamming though. I imagine ARC will get an additional nerf when they fix engage. Seravi, what battle orders/tier were your guys on? Surely you're not at 5x Offense yet...?
I did verify that you can get chemistry rewards from dungeons, though they were coming up hilariously low (single-digit scrips).
Order leveling is random as fuck but I have 3 guys at offensive 4. I also observed single digit scrip returns. Seems materia is the best choice if it's a doable chemistry for your comp. unfortunately a lot of mine had "with a thm".
I should feel dirty but I don't.
Got my 10 dungeons and emotes.
No need to go back in there again unless bored/I want to cap those tiers. Thanks man.
edit: actually, i might do a few every now and then for the achievements lol
8min brayflox lel I wish I had jobs to xp with this
Interesting note, you can still do command missions while squad is training.
So some quick napkin math:
If you gain one order level (or unlock a new order) per dungeon, that's 19 dungeons to cap each squad member.
19 x 8 squad members = 152 / 3 squad members per dungeon = ~51 dungeons to cap all orders.
Although in practice, if you don't care about Defense orders then it could potentially be as low as 14 dungeons per member, or ~38 dungeons total.
Sadly nothing is absolute, I went 5 dungeons dry with no upgrade
anyone hit 100 clears and if anything special rewarded?
Oh wow, cleared Braflox faster than my fastest DF time by a long shot. Big bonus to having absolutely no pressure. Struggled handling mechanics though which is probably the 1 area AI can't/wont ever do well.
Really hoping they treat this as a feature and not a bug. Probably the most engaging this content will turn out to be especially for gearing and leveling out low level jobs quickly.
Sadly I think we know exactly what is going to happen, possibly this coming Tuesday.
I have several irrational excuses to hope that this will not be nerfed:
1) No one is talking about it and even the people I've told about it don't care
2) It costs seals so technically you can't do it forever?
Any mention of it to people who would/wouldn't care is 'good to keep it in, we need something quick to do for xp and not rely on others'
I told my wife and she was like, "Remember XI salvage bans? You're gonna get banned. I'm not using that."
Getting banned on ffxiv LOL that's a good one
Your wife sounds bitter lol
