Those win numbers are accurate, they include wins in the playoffs in those seasons. They were all 50+ win seasons not including playoff victories. It may or may not be Dwight's fault, it's hard to say if Van Gundy and Otis stay without Dwight doing that shit. If they stay we very likely don't overhaul everything and start from scratch again. Van Gundy would still have been a better head coach than what we had the last few years even if we did still overhaul though. I do like Vogel who we have now.
I've seen a lot of Hezonja since we drafted him. He may be a good player but his attitude is god awful. I remember during a game a few weeks ago he got brought on and we immediately had to call a timeout because he forgot to tie his fucking shoelaces after sitting on the bench all game.
Your plan is what I wanted too but you have to remember we already did play all the kids constantly for the last few years. Vucevic was very frequently our oldest player on the court last year and he was 25. A lot of young players have seen a lot of minutes for us in the last few years and we were always missing a veteran presence. I think the only reason they changed that this year is because the GM knows he's fired if we don't make the playoffs this year so we added a few older players. Jeff Green, Jodie Meeks and DJ Augustin are the 'older' players who see minutes and they are our 7/8/9 in terms of minutes.
We still do have a young starting line-up that is getting plenty of minutes. Fournier (24 yo, 33.3 mpg), Ibaka (27yo, 30.5 mpg), Payton (22yo, 28.9 mpg), Vucevic (26yo, 28mpg), Gordon (21yo, 26.2 mpg), Biyombo (24yo, 25.8 mpg). Those are our 6 players with the most minutes per game this year. Sure, maybe they could get a few mins more per game but it isn't like they aren't getting significant playing time. The only 2 getting less minutes per game that their career average are Payton (down 0.8 minutes) and Vucevic (down 1.9 minutes). Hezonja is the only youngster we have who isn't seeing much playing time (8.5 mpg) but I am pretty sure it is all down to attitude. Skiles gave him minutes last year before phasing him out, Vogel basically isn't playing him until games are over this year.
