Ironic a Spurs player gets hit by the good ol' Bruce Bowen move.
Hope its just a twist and he is ok though. Sucks.
Fam I hate the warriors I can't believe this bullshit you guys
Man I'm torn on the Zaza play. I liked him a lot with the Hawks but it looks really bad on the replay... TWO steps forward after the ball was released is not normal, and the opposite of what you would try to avoid the foul
I'd be curious to see if he tried it on any previous plays if he ever challenged Kawhi's shot
I'm obviously biased, but just don't see it as intentional in anyway. Zaza moved on from the play like nothing happened. If it had been intentional I feel like he would at least taken a look back.
And besides, if people want to complain about those kinds of fouls you can't have it both ways cause that shit happens to Curry (and his history of ankle problems) multiple times every game.
I remember Ron artest pretending his attempted murder against harden never happened
is anyone surprised that the warriors cheat to win? im not surprised
Yeah, I've looked at it a bunch of times now. No way that was intentional. Kawhi was fading back, which explains the extra step. Zaza wasn't even looking at him. He was looking at the ball.
I guess him taking out KD during the wizards game was intentional too, right guys? It's not that he's just a clumsy big man with bad footwork.
No, it's possible it was intentional. I don't think it was, but it's possible, even if it's a "I wanna knock this guy over" and not a "I want to sprain this guy's left ankle" way.
He didn't need to be staring at his feet to walk under him.
That's silly. Why would he try to hurt KD? He also fell into KD and didn't fall into Kawhi. I don't think you can survive as a groundbound undersized center that relies on positioning and taking charges if you have bad footwork. Javale McGee is clumsy. Zaza is not.I guess him taking out KD during the wizards game was intentional too, right guys? It's not that he's just a clumsy big man with bad footwork.
After watching it a few more times, it looks like his momentum carried him those last extra steps that put him under Kawhi. Not enough there to call it intentional.
For what it's worth, Kawhi said he didn't think it was intentional either.
Pop on the other hand went nuclear in an interview and called it dirty.
Hopefully one of these news outlets cites the prior incidents for Zaza that Pop is talking about, because I don't remember them offhand and don't remember Zaza having that rep beyond being "scrappy" and standing up to KG back in the day (which was awesome)
yeah i think zaza's always had that rep as far as i can remember
it didn't really look dirty but yeah Zaza has been a dirty player for years, ton of unnecessary contact, head shots, throwing hard bows like it's going out of style, guy is a flagrant foul machine
but really there's no way to know why he broke Kawhi's landing, wouldn't be surprised either way.
