Shooter and Monk are my new favorite classes. Should I hone Exploding Fist?

Im cautious to hone any of the shooter abilities.

Not a whole lot of things are WEAK to water, and I kind of want to see a few more abilities released for the class before I do anything with Sapphire Shot.

It's very outdated, and all monks have access to full charge which outclasses it.

This. I have it R2 since before Full Charge and haven't used it once since FC came out and I fulltime Tifa in my A Team.

Exploding Fist is only worth it if you're using fist weapons anyway.

The worst part of exploding fist: no free copy to shatter for orbs!

I like sapphire shot as another backrow damage option, and several of the characters who have it really have no other choices for doing pure damage. Although I guess XIII's Serah isn't going to be using it too often...

i stuck the R1 sapphire shot in wakka's B-slot to have some extra damage after cycling through BSB/breakdowns. nice option to have there, but for now it seems a little too niche to be worth investing in. especially since it competes with the upcoming lightning dive which i'll be able to get a lot of mileage out of.

i'm running tidus' burst at level 99 with RD and a 6* synergy sword, so the stats are pretty jacked. getting a ton of hits, it was 105 today, 65 yesterday, and i think 120+ the day before that.

Have you seen that post on reddit about a guy who just mastered his first event and he's been playing since day 1? With a bunch of Bursts and level 90+ characters too lol.

I'd honestly believe it if he doesn't S/L. Game takes on a whole new meaning of difficulty if you don't.

1/1'd all three, including CM. Man I'm beefed up in 10 synergy. That new 5* Water ability that's like Saint's Cross is nice on Tidus when he has his OSB wep for water+ damage. Took three casts to kill the U+ and 3 to kill Omega.
