    Commentary
    • Dark Dragon uses Dark Breath every X turns and Chain Magic every Y turns after it drops to 70% or lower HP.

Not much to say here. Bring maximum magical mitigation and you should be fine. He's weak to both Saint Cross and Chain-Firaga/Meltdown, so you should be able to destroy him pretty quickly regardless of which type of party you prefer. Dark Dragon does have a physical AOE but it isn't all that strong and it only gets used about once per 5 non-scripted turns Dark Dragon takes, so don't worry about it too much.

    Commentary
    • Flan Master will revive the Flans after they die. If Flan Master is not under Reflect status when he takes his action, he will cast Reflect immediately followed by one of his other attacks.
    • Black Puddings use their AOE Attack every X turns. White Mousses and the Flan Master can follow any of their attacks with Thundara.
    • White Mousses use AOE Thundaga every Y turns. Flan Master uses Ultimate Thundaga every Z turns.

If you plan to bring anyone with single-target magic to this fight, you must also bring Banishing Strike or Dispel to clear Flan Master's Reflect. There is both physical and magical damage throughout the fight, but the primary worry is magical damage, so lean a little more heavily that direction. You might want to bring dance versions of your breaks so that they cover the flans in addition to the Flan Master.

Event Quest Notes: I had Hastemarch, so I brought a Wall RW. Without the wall this fight would have been much harder. Paladin Cecil can carry the Banishing Strike to clear the way for a mage party to nuke Flan Master down; he only has 120k HP so it doesn't take that long.

    Commentary
    • Calcabrina forms 30 seconds after the fight starts, regardless of how many Calcas or Brinas are left alive.
    • Calcabrina forms into her Strongest form if 5 or 6 Calcas and Brinas are alive, into her Strong form if 3 or 4 are left alive, and into her Default form if less than 3 are alive.
    • Calcabrina uses Ultimate Lightning every X turns.

Note that it doesn't matter whether you kill all the Calcas or all the Brinas, Calcabrina only forms based on time so you can just go all out AOE. The damage in this fight is almost all magical, but there are AOE physical attacks. I recommend gearing for pure magical mitigation and aiming to kill the dolls before Calcabrina forms. Just AOE the hell out of them with all your best AOE abilities.

Most annoying part about Cagnazzo this time around? Waiting 20 turns for him to stop healing and use his Tsunami so I can clear the victory conditions... ( yes I'm well aware I could have just killed ).

I'm actually surprised I did well, considering my IV synergy is terrible and the only characters I have good breaks for are Edge, Edward, and Porom.

He did tsunami first turn for me, then promptly sat there as I beat him up afterwards. (first run he nailed 4/5 members with para with counter hold)

He was predictable for me - once every three turns. I'm surprised; I just assumed that was his AI.

Looking like this will be the easiest U++ yet. 81k AoE damage in 30 seconds? No RNGfest pain? Looking forward to it.

I'll probably do the same. Full on damage using Light, Ashe, and Rydia. I might bring Tyro for Dances and Porom for Hastega.

    CM party:

    RW - Ashe BSB

I'm thinking I could AoE them all down at once with RW entry and 1 command 1 on flan master, then spam command 2 the rest of the way. Pecil I would be using to tank all of the ST attacks and charge SB gauge up fast to spam shared medica, and I realize I should probably switch his RM to lionheart to take better advantage of that.

So let's see... U++, combines after 30 seconds. I take it that means you only have roughly 5 * 6 moves to deal 80k HP damage. Meaning... each person has to do roughly 2.67k~ AoE per attack round... I take it Meteor can do that, along with 4*+ summons. 3* summons might be able to do that? I guess. Though I suppose it'd be probably closer to 4.5~ attack rounds instead of 5 given the initial buffs. I'll probably need to check how necessary it is to take sheepsong instead of Ashe BSB for added AoE.

I think I would use Maria BSB RW with 2 well geared mages for U++ since you get a self boost out of the AoE command, and use a native 30% faithga of some sort or memento mori if you dont have a native faithga. With 10 rounds of command 2, that should very easily deal the ~82k required to AoE them all down (only need to average 8.2k per command 2 use)

Also wondering whether or not the Brina's will die too fast using Ashe BSB Commands. Hummmm decisions decisions. <.< I need someone else to find a working strat to copy.

Don't think you'd have enough time for full 5 turns under BSB Command 2 though I don't think? Duration is 25s, casting 5 commands would take probably 27s or so, but would need to factor in initial wait time. I'm guessing 4 * 2 command uses would be all you'd get. I don't know if you can get to 10k per command 2 if you don't have Faithga. @_@

nvm, mis-understood, thought Maria Song instead of Maria BSB

thinking my U++ party will revolve around yang putting up earth imperil, rydia bursting, and edge tags along to trigger weakness with lightning veil. mostly just debating on whether i should go full synergy or not

My plan is Lulu + Meteor + Focus and then Ashe BSB plus Rydia Summon spam + Sheepsong RW. Haven't decided who my fourth mage will be but I'd like it to be Lightning going melee... I just don't think I can build the gauge in time so I will probably bring another summoner, like Yuna.

Memento Mori + Maria BSB RW + 5x command 2 can easily be done in under 30 sec.

Memento Mori opener at the very worst would be ~5 seconds (if unhasted with 0 starting ATB), About 4.5 seconds to use RW assuming you're hasted by then, then 5 turns at ~3.5 sec each for command 2 is ~26 seconds total. If you have a native sheepsong or other native haste+faithga MM isnt even needed shaving off about 3-4 seconds there.

Hummm, if that's the case, I think I can do something like this... maybe

Greg is mostly because I don't really have faith I can defend all that well... given that AoEs don't come until turn 5, I'm "hoping" it's enough, maybe. Plus I suppose I do have an AoE SSB so it can do like 1-2k probably.

Took me 4 tries to master the CM with the setup i posted above. The damage output is extremely high even with lightning resist accessories and shellga on everyone, and only having shared medicas, end result being 2 damage and 1 KO medal lost (2 deaths).

I opted for a full zerg of the U++ with this setup, which got me a very easy full medal clear:

    RW - Maria BSB

Activated carbuncle, sheep, Ashe BSB and both maria RWs (Edea and Rydia). Fight was over after 2 command 2s from edea, 2 ixions from Ashe, 2 maduins from Krile, and 1 command 2 + 1 titan from Rydia.
