See title. It's an ASUS. The weird thing is once it's dropped the connection if you try to reconnect it simply says cannot connect. It's not an issue with the router as everything else needing wifi access still works no problem. Ideas?

Does it eventually reconnect by itself about 2 - 5 mins later (just unable to connect while it's having its little tantrum?) Because I have this problem on my desktop with both wifi and a powerline adapter. Still haven't been able to isolate what's causing the problem, but I suspect it's a software issue as the only hardware that could be causing it would have to be my mobo.
You could try checking for driver conflicts and software that might be trying to "manage" your connections.
If it came from asus, it probably had some software installed to "manage" it. Try uninstalling all associated software, if you can, even so far as to remove the card from your laptop, uninstall device/stuff, and then shove it back in and let windows install default drivers. This can sometimes kickstart it and let it work, but it could also just be a piece of borked hardware and need replacing. Also, make sure the antennae are connected and fully seated (if things are color coded, take a picture to help you put it back).
