Can i officially start calling Mexican's Kaiju's yet?
from the exact article you linked..."Any implication that that these four people quit is wrong," one senior State Department official said. "These people are loyal to the secretary, the President and to the State Department. There is just not any attempt here to dis the President. People are not quitting and running away in disgust. This is the White House cleaning house."
Exactly? I dont know what point you are arguing, I'm saying the WaPo article is wrong and they didn't resign in some kind of protest unexpectedly.
oh, misunderstood you 100%. my b fam
All good
All four of them are indeed political appointees (All were nominated by Obama except Patrick Kennedy) so yes all would have had to submit resignations by the Inauguration that are effective when their replacements were confirmed. The fact that they quit on the day of Tillerson's visit (before even HE or their replacements were confirmed) and that they did so in such a public manner speaks to the fact that they DID resign in protest (or were just generally disgusted with Tillerson), even if they were on the way out already. The WaPo article does indeed mention this, so I'm not sure why you're saying they got it wrong.
Because the CNN article and even the quote Salodin just pulled out says the exact opposite?
From what I can tell this was a "you can't fire me, I'll quit" type of thing, so the assumption that some kind of massive exodus of officials will happen isn't as credible as if they had just quit.
I stand corrected - WaPo just updated their story to match CNN's. They had all submitted resignation letters but were dismissed without confirmed replacements (technically fired).
i should prob be a senior level official at the state department

In other words, we the people are paying for the wall. Not Mexico.
Going to have to back out of NAFTA first, which takes at least a year, and our biggest import from Mexico by far is oil.
Well Trump did want to invade a country for the oil if there was the chance...
that can't be right. maybe he means they are taxing the mexicans 20% to sell their products here. what do you think. WELCOME TO TARIFF TOWN BOYS
Which that 20% Cost will be passed on to consumers, so Americans get to pay for the wall twice!
