Had to revise my setup twice to beat the CM, the damage output is quite high though the start is a lot more fair than the last rendition of U+ Butz, especially if you bring death resist accessories to dodge the opening missile salvos.
Beat it with 2 damage medals lost with the following:
Butz 80 - Full Charge r3 / Armor Break r5 / Sword +30% / Trueblade
Lenna 80 - Curaja r5 / Protectga r3 / Doublecast / Princess's Favor
Faris 80 - Full Break r2 / Power Breakdown r4 / Support +30% / None
Exdeath 80 - Curaga r5 / Meltdown r2 / Devotion / None
Greg 80 - Saint Cross r4 / Banishing Strike r4 / Knight +30% / None
RW - Onion BSB
Had death resist accessories on everyone to dodge the missile salvos, Onion BSB used with Butz so he could powerchain the full charges. Negated the trueblade defense buff at 70% with armor break and the light of the four buff at 40% with full break + banishing. Fight went smooth after switching to double healer, aside from Butz dying due to 4 hits of light of the four targeting him.
EDIT: U++ wasnt a threat at all with my A-team, U was a harder fight imo.
Should I go all mage or just take A team?
i just did A team for all three. damage output on exdeath wasn't bad if he was broken down and you reapplied buffs imo (I have SG tho)
had basically same team as corwen for U+ CM, but my Bartz has bsb and used SG RW
bartz wasn't too bad, did the CM with gilgamesh/bartz/faris/lenna/galuf. everyone on that team has an SSB or better though so i'm pretty well prepared for V CMs in general.
with SG and a mage team, U++ wasn't threatening at all. just gave tyro dance breaks so dispel wasn't an issue, ashe/krile/yuna nuked it down with help from RW OK, sheepsong and strange vision.
Having some trouble on Primal Exdeath, but I think I finally have a solution.
Krile - Firaja/Stoneja
Tyro - Multi Break/Sarabonde
Yshtola - Protectga/Curaja
Selphie - Shellga/Curaja
Potato - Meltdown/Waterja

Basic concept is to trade off OK casts, with Krile going first and then Potato going 2nd. Double MAG buffed between Potato's Leylines and OK's Burst entry, which also takes care of haste. Swiftspell commands were hitting for 4k each for 16k total. Tyoe can cover SG if Yshtola can't handle skipping a turn to heal, and Selphie gives me one safety net with a mid to late fight magic blink.
Problems just seem to happen in transition from phase 2 to 3. I can get stoneskin up just fine, but the scripted (?) actions always seem to take out one person and then it falls apart while I try to recover.
I went Physical, and it went pretty smooth, Bartz BSB can almost do all the weakness (if you have it)
