Do you guys really think the NFL has taken a hit because of Kaepernick? I'm not so sure. All the other factors at play? Surely and absolutely, but not Kap. He has helped spawn a plethora of terrible articles and comments sections, but I'm skeptical that's a true contributor to any diminished ratings.

I do personally know several people that have sworn off the NFL because of the Kaepernick stuff. You and I may not think it a deal breaker, but there are people out there who take it very seriously.

I get it why he started protesting, but he chose the wrong time and place(s) to do it. And it hurt more for those who have high value in the Anthem(veterans for sure) when it started a chain reaction.. which didn't last very long? Because I don't see anyone else doing but him now. So yes, I think it tarnished the NFL's reputation, and Goodell couldn't really tell him "don't do that" because then that would start a secondary shitstorm. Lose/Lose.

As for AP. That RB clock is ticking, and he's 32. These injuries just herald that he's about to enter the inevitable RB declination.
