Winter Anime 2017 Season Thread

The anime of Chaos;Head is pretty bad, probably because it's a badly adapted VN.

Probably not, most ; series can be read/watched alone and you're not losing much. I heard the C;H VN was a lot better, if you're into that stuff.

While most of the Science Adventure series aka the ; series are stand alones with none of the same characters settings etc and so you don't lose anything not watching together it might be different in this case as C;C is actually supposed a sequel to C;H and have some of the similar ideas of delusions and such and VN references some of the events of C;H. That said haven't started watching the anime so not sure how well they end up going over it or if it's even helpful in watching it C;C

I'm glad they're going the manga route now. I'm just sad that the manga is a monthly release.

Little Witch Academia Ep 2

Amazing episode. tons of great goofy Akko faces. Sussy is easily becoming my favorite character. Yoh Yoshinari and his brother Animation were fantastic. I hope more team up in the future.

Hanazuki Ep1(all Season 1 episodes on Hasbro youtube channel).
Clearly made for kids. Alright writing, simple plot, main character is likeable enough, but I can appreciate the simple but charming design. it reminds me a lot of the early episodes of adventure time with it's weird creativity.



Regular Show Series Final

Today the final episodes of Regular Show aired. I was a little unsure once the whole outer space arc started, but it turned out to be a fun arc with a fantastic finale. it was perfect with the tone of the show. Thanks for all the good moments Regular show.



Hanazuki Ep2-9(they're still 18 episodes in production).


Despite the name it's apparently of Dutch origin and headed by Dave Polsky, who wrote many of my little pony episodes. It's clearly targeted toward little girls, but The real strength of Hanazuki is surprisingly, in it's focus on emotional storytelling, something that’s lacking in most kids cartoons. you can tell that Hasbro is trying to position Hanazuk as their next big property, and is going to push it pretty hard this summer once rest of Season 1 production is done.

Episode was fantastic. Early contender for AotS for sure. And considering it's on Sunday with IBO and Gintama makes today my favourite day of the week.

Not really related to this winter, but kinda since it got announced and is mentioned in the thread earlier. Man, I just found out there's gonna be a season 3 of Code Geass. Despite the meh seconds season, it's still one of my overall favorites. I can watch it any time. I am hype whether it turns out to be good or not. Just give me more. I'm way behind on anime and news stuff.

I also picked up Highschool DxD which is pure enjoyable garbage. Blasted through most of the 3 seasons in the last couple days.

The Konosuba ED is one of the most soothing songs I've heard in a while. Just mellow and relaxing. New episode was great too

Who cares, let them waste they're talent on pointless moe shows and following Otaku fetishes. I am still laughing that "Your Name" killed their movie "A Silent Voice" in box office and fan reception.
