I don't think it's the new cap that effected the FFIV Ult ++ tbh. That Bahamut's stats were just...awful in terms of defense. My attack was largely the same since my synergy in IV isn't the greatest and I was still hitting like 8k+ on shit that on a normal ++ would only be doing 4k or so.

Yea, the stats on the current U++ were on par with most U fights. The soft cap increase only results in ~20% more damage at 700+ atk vs having 700+ atk on the old cap while my damage output on this one was nearly double what I normally did on previous U++ fights.

The stats on Dark Bahamut were 1188-1296 DEF and 1980-2079 RES. FFT's U++ was 2525 DEF / 2970 RES, and FFX's was 2911-3020 DEF / 4574-4752 RES for comparison.

That's not how it works, it's one blink that absorbs both. So one hit and it's gone (either physical or magical). It's exactly like a regular blink but on a USB stick, that's shit compared to every other USB out there if you consider that the other two buffs are not even that great (regen is pretty common now and she already has an option for that, self instant cast for one action is not even worth mentioning). At least Vanille's USB has HP stock.

Then maybe you can try to explain why you think it's a great addition to her kit I have all of her relics in JP so I don't really care, having to cast both her SSB and BSB is already bad enough that adding another wouldn't help at all. I'm using Wall RW because I can't possibly juggle all three even with Wrath and Ace Striker when most bosses will just murder you if you don't put up mitigation fast enough.
That doesn't make this USB any better though, to me a potential magical blink that can be removed by a random physical attack is a downgrade. Replacing High Regen with a Curaga party heal would make this on par with most USBs (and it'd still be low tier compared to Eiko).

Shtola's USB would've been much more useful if it did something akin to Tyro's, some form of Status Ailment shield as an upgrade or replacement to healer's robe. She's still best healer even without a good USB tho.

The mixed blink is bad for the reason alkar mentioned - I realized this on geosgaeno because my magic blinks were being eaten by regurg, usually I want to blink something specific and not anything at all. High regen is useful if I have tons of mitigation already but doesn't stack, and self only instant cast 1 basically means I traded a turn reset and 1 meter for the other benefits. Barring something unusual about the blink, it's on par with aetherial pulse and aetherial pulse is pretty bad.
