if you're not familiar with the S/L technique, you can salvage a potential/inevitable wipe by force-closing the app and restarting it. as long as you do it before your party actually dies and you get the 'now loading' prompt, it'll restart you at the beginning of the battle with a clean slate. saves you having to waste stamina on a retry if the group is viable (which it certainly sounds yours is)

If you want to cheese 1 stamina fights a little, you can also do this trick.

Your SB bars stay if you retreat from a fight and re-enter. If the fight starts off with a scripted non-damaging action (haste, protect, etc) or a single target attack, equip the White Magic ability restore RM on your healer and have everyone use attack the opening round. Heal up the person who got hit, run from the fight, and re-enter to have your healing spell use restored, everyone at full (or near full) HP, and some SB gauge for the cost of 1 stamina.

You can repeat this until everyone starts off with a SB bar or two ready to go for very little stamina.

s/l aside, assuming you actually hit the worm in time there's no way you had mitigation up on pen or the boss. It's a normal physical attack that at the lowest damage does the same as headbutt. You'd probably still have died until you had her MC3 (to be fair, having the healer slowed would probably have been bad as well).

Mitigation = sentinel grimoire (RW in your case, since you have a hastega/boost your RW slot is open), protect, breakdowns etc.
