Just started Chapter 3.
I feel like some extremely basic things were omitted from the game...
My current gripes are:
-No map markers for Salvage/Collection points
-No Area Map to see the full area (I have no idea where the fuck to go)
-Toppling monsters off cliffs
-Nia falling to her death on narrow areas.
-when you walk into a new location the gigantic image and text blocking the screen is kind of annoying
Also, I accidentally switch Godfrey (TNK) to Rex. Any way to switch him over to Tora?
It would be nice to be able to mark things on the map to go back to. I don't know how I am going to remember that 'Treasure chest, that requires XYZ character stats, is over here in this random corner'
An in-game Encyclopedia would be nice.
Yeah, I accidentally wasted an Overdrive moving Godfrey from Nia to Rex. Once you get to the 'Confirm' part, you cannot back out. Oh well...
Picked this up from Gamefaqs forum:
Rare Blade farming: Requires you to reach Chapter 4.
1. Reach Empire of Mor Adain, Anangham #2 Dock
2. Buy 99 NORMAL CYLINDERS
3. Unengage any blade that has Salvage Mastery Field Skill
4. Go to the dock salvage point
5. FAIL MISERABLY at the QTE, although the results of the salvage don't seem to care much, this is just for convenience
6. You are looking for a monster called Tolden Krabble and looks like a small hermit crab, this monster drops a guaranteed Common Core Crystal upon death.
7. Charge up your chain attack gauge on any other monster (the Zamtrios or the Stingray)
8. Kill the hermit crab using an overkill of 200% bonus or more in Chain Attack
The hermit crab will drop a guaranteed rare core.
Notes:
-Time of day don't matter, sea cloud level don't matter
-Done with 167 Luck but I doubt it matters, I have always gotten a common core from death and a rare from overkill Chain
-Doesn't seem to be any diminishing returns, I'm at 91 Cylinders spent and this is my haul: https://imgur.com/NsDj5CV.jpg while failing miserably at the chain attacks and managing the gauge, thus losing a lot of opportunities.
-In fact the last few attempts were done correctly and I got a rare from each, meaning no matter how many you kill it won't stop dropping.
When can I start setting 3 blades?
Just got a Beastly core crystal but idk who I wanna set it on since both Nia and Rex have 2 special ones already.
Thanks. It's usable now it looked like to me, but I'm holding off.
Anyone know the criterias for bonus points in Tiger Tiger?
1. Take no damage
2. Collect all ether
3. Collect all chests
4. ??? (Kill everything maybe?)
4. Don't kill anything.
Oh snap, I guessed the wrong way lol
I guess kinda spoilery thing about using overdrive protocols on Rex..
Spoiler: show
As much as I'm enjoying this game so far, I can't help but see how much it feels utterly rushed, and all the little things are starting to really annoy me. Spoilered for bitching...
Spoiler: show
All these small, but ultimately annoying things (and that's just the crap that I've encountered shortly after finishing chapter 1), just show that the game really needed another month or two in the cooker instead of being rushed out the door for the holiday season. I mean, a 7 year-old game on hardware from like 15 years ago managed to get a lot of this stuff right. Wth Monolith Soft/Nintendo?
I've read they wanted you to 'remember' which ones agro or not. I don't care for it, but I've also got a good memory for what ate me at some point.
As for treasure chests/excavation sites, and the like, once you click on them, for the first time, the main map (x button) will have the location marked and when you select it, shows the skills needed. You can filter the map too so that, if two points are too near each other to independently click, you can show only the one you care about. Clunky, but it works.
1) I wish i had moe time to play
2) I wish you could skip the whole blade bonding CS
3) Popi will take FOREVER to upgrade lol
