Sooooo in Alfyns town there is a house with a person guarding the door. Use the hunter girl or the other dude to knock her out and steal from the guy inside. He has an axe with like 4x the damage of anything else st this point. It’s a 3% steal rate but just save and reload. I’m swinging for 400 damage now at level 12 with no boosts or anything. If I stack everything I hit for 4000-5000 on bosses....

It's like a hat I found that has quadruple the defense and element defense of anything in the shops at that point. Can't remember where I stole it or I'd say where it was.

Pro-tip: Cleric's healing is based off of Elemental Defense, so equip any such items on them and watch their heals skyrocket.

Alfyn's Concoctions are static, though.

Maybe the % is different? I get a feeling it changes as you level up. I did this at thief level 11. If it's not there at all let me know. I'm curious as to if maybe steal items are randomized completely from game to game.

Nice, I haven't gotten a Cleric yet, but I'll keep it in mind.

By the way, since Chapters use each character's path action to progress through, I would recommend keeping H'aanit and Olberic at a decent level (particularly H'aanit) to do challenges/provokes. Also, keep up to date with Captures on H'aanit. I had to grind out a few captures before I could beat one Provoke on Chapter 2.

We also see what looks to be one of the Crow Men (whom Primrose is pursuing) tailing Cyrus.

Just did a tour around to get all subjobs and I think that's almost a necessity by chapter 3.

Also I'm wondering if they inspiration from FFXI. There's a dungeon named Quicksand caves in the Sundlands and Olberic's hunter costume almost looks like BST AF2 minus the helmet.

Without spoilers. Are subjob suppose to be hidden or will we cross them in the main game?

All the subjobs are in the adjacent Chapter 2 areas relative to the job's starter town (not where their chapter 2 story takes place)

Subjobs are in optional areas, you have to explore to get them and you find them one at a time. You won't find them through the story. You could get them at level 1 if you wanted, provided you managed to avoid/run away from the encounters.

Been having a blast with this so far, it really hits the JRPG itch I've had for a while. Set up my group to be Tressa (Merchant/Thief), H'aanit (Hunter/Dancer), Cyrus (Scholar/Merchant) and Ophelia (Cleric/Scholar) and they're just wrecking everything. Did a bunch of exploring and ended up fighting a boss in a Lv.50 side-dungeon with Lv.28 characters, and actually managed to win lol

Also to note they'll appear on your minimap. There will be no fights so you can just get it and leave.

One thing to note though is you can't have the same subjob on multiple people.
