I knew hoping for an umbrite nerf in this patch was too much. And I'll be done before 3.55 lol

The devs said they'd tone down the 3.4 AST changes if they proved to be too much, and they usually give a few pity potency boosts to the underplayed/worse classes. Don't think anyone was expecting major changes, but the fact that they changed literally nothing is still pretty sad.
MMORPGs don't need to be like WoW where classes/specs can become something entirely different between patches, but XIV is the opposite extreme. Most/all of the balancing SE did over the course of the 2 year long expansion is minor potency/cd adjustments even though some classes could've benefited from actual mechanical/skill changes.
Took em long enough to make all those Chocobo changes
There's many ways they can go about it, yeah. Maybe give MNK a way to boost magic attacks so it synergizes with casters or as you said just a straight dps increase (potency would be the easiest) for the offenders.
But what happens if they overbuff and the meta changes so another set of jobs is ignored for 6 months? The possibility is there of course and the likelihood of SE nailing it is very low as well. End of the day, any changes they do would have to be accounted for or outright reverted for 4.0 and I doubt SE wants to spend more time on balancing. All we can do is hope they get the picture of job balance now and fix it for 4.0 (they won't so look forward to 4.1!).
If they were competent, it would be pretty damn hard to fuck up and tweaks (and i'm talking literal potency tweaks rather than mini-reworks or major-reworks). They could even use FFlogs - i'm sure they have their own internal tools that are more accurate. At least I would hope.
So many new orchestrion rolls and furnishings @_@ At least I'll have menial things to do!
It just depresses me how some of these rolls will be obtained in order to stretch 3.5 out as much as possible lol. The 1.x songs like others probably will come from Aquapolis or Derpadem in 3.5 part 2/Airship Ventures (to further piss off people who couldn't get FC housing.) Since there's no faded copy, they tend to be either NPC (rarely), dropped from bleh content (usually), ventures of some kind (usually) MSQ/Sidequest reward (sometimes.) So for the collector, this is the collection patch for sure lol.
Fortunately I'm one of those asshole 1%ers (private large FC house w/4 airships, can grow/run/buy anything I want) so collecting is a bit easier for me than others.
Unfortunately tomestones are still fucking capped weekly so I don't even meet the min ilvl requirements for some of the new content yet ahahaha. (Yes I realize you can get it through lore but all that has been going towards anima weapons).
From the reddit datamining:
was about to post it lawl, its not 100% however as i said i doubt SE would add two casters in same patch, its just too dumb
If I'd been Koji I would've put several files in like that, but all named like "SamRaimi.csv", "BlueM.csv", "SpiderMan.csv", etc.
i hope they didn't put that to troll us d;
zurvan theme doesn't even have lyrics, ded game
More pics out, its RDM and sam in files, no trace of blue
I, for one, welcome our new SAM overlords.
New relics are pretty cool. They're a bit more plain than usual which is nice for me since the super gaudy style they usually take with weapons in XIV turns me off.
