in that case i would rather suggest a tanky melee with Quick Riposte to deal with dagger and bow users and maybe cavalry melees. Nino really should be able to cover everything you want to cover with soren.

I need to just realize Fury will cost me 20k feathers for SI going forward.

5 pulls on fury banner. 1 Azura dupe, Palla, Hana, Cordelia, and Olivia (but bad boon/bane, keeping my neutral one).

Least I got another Wings of Mercy user for SI. Was going for Eldigan, obviously. No luck. Really need to stop impulse pulls.

At least Hinata learns Fury 3 at 4*, so you technically got the skill for inheritance and it would only cost you 2k feathers.

What's a better alternative: 1. Keep summoning hoping to get X 5* character. 2. Upgrade X character via advanced growth? I've gotten a bunch of S tier 5* characters np. And advance growth seems rubbish to me. Maybe I've been super lucky? Idk.

some chars can only be 5 stated if you upgraded them from 4 to 5 Stars.
On the other hand you could also merge same 4 Stars together. 4Star+10 is stat wise stronger then 5 Star until you face a +1/+2 5 Star

Generally, a Hector, Azura/Ninian, Kagero,Linde, Takumi, Ike/Ryoma. Generally anyone that has a build in counter to them are pretty top.

Blue and Green have much smaller pools (3 and 4* especially), which means pulling on those will have better chances of getting something good. Red has a lot of strong characters (Ike, Ryoma, Lucina, Tharja, etc) but a massive amount of bloat and garbage just due to the sheer amount of sword users.

There isnt a truly "great" banner right now to increase odds of a good character though. Any of the following are high tier units (either with or without skill inheritence) and worth rerolling for. I would also try to get an Olivia A.S.A.P. from the daily battles in the top right corner of the battle screen as she is a free dancer unit.

Red: Lucina, Ike, Ryoma, Celica, Tiki (Young or Old)
Blue: Effie, Ephraim, Reinhardt, Linde, Nowi
Green: Hector, Minerva, Cherche, Julia, Nino (Nino is a 3 or 4* only, but one of the strongest units in the game)

Colorless is more a matter of "oh hey, I have them, awesome!" than a "reroll until you get one". Mounted healers are better for overall mobility, and dagger users are on the whole worthless without skill inheritence except for Kagero.

Colorless: Mounted Healers (Elise, Clarine, Priscilla), Kagero, and Takumi.

Additionally, good "baseline" characters to use are oddly enough the free ones you can get from daily battles and the starter characters.

Sharena > Anna > Alfonse in terms of utility for the starter characters. Also good to have them functional, even as 3 or 4* units, because they are commonly bonus units for the arena.

As for the freebie daily characters, Donnel is a popular one as is previously mentioned Olivia. A *lot* of high level content is cleared by some players using 3* Donnel, Olivia, Cecilia, etc so they can also be good characters to have at lvl 40 in general.

Stat wise (if the wiki stats are correct) all of the unit seem to have very decent speed res def and atk but very low HP. So they can be built into very good offensiv or deffensiv units
