The last we heard, Kate Bishop’s launch was being pushed “back a bit, out of October,” and Crystal Dynamics called it a “slight delay.” They’re still not saying an official release date for Kate Bishop, but here Scot Amos now says “before the end of the calendar year” which is uh, quite a bit different. Maybe they don’t want to be pinned down but that sure sounds like Kate might not arrive until December, a far cry from the initial idea that she would be there some amount of weeks after launch. Not great news.

And if Kate’s timetable is now before the end of the calendar year then that does not allow much hope that Hawkeye will get here before 2021, as he’s next in line after her. Crystal Dynamics has still not announced its next character after that, but we all know it’s Black Panther who would arrive with a substantive bit of content, and that now seems pushed into when, late winter 2021? Spring 2021? Unclear.

Nothing against anyone who enjoys the game, but I feel like I check this thread less to see updates the game is making, and more for the inevitable closure/relaunch/massive changes that they'll end up having to do. Hope the best for it, I'll prolly pick it up once it hits bargain bin levels, story sounds solid enough.

It’s pretty apparent at this point letting Marvel have any say when they ask you to develop a game is a recipe for disaster. This is why I’m convinced we’ll never get a proper MvC4.
