    Commentary

    The Four Fiends come at you one at a time, with each one you defeat spawning a new one after a couple of seconds. Lich spawns first, then Marilith, then Kraken, and finally Tiamat. Lich uses Haste on his first turn and Attack on his second turn. Marilith uses her 6-hit Attack on her first turn after being reduced to 50% or lower HP. Most of the single target magic (except Tiamat's) in this fight is scripted to target a character who is not under Reflect status if possible.

    Chaos has low Mind from what I've read so even your melees should get stopped for 6 seconds at best. Your healer will likely move immediatly.
    Excited for the CM considering I have no relics except the upgraded 4*s and Garland's armor!

    CM is pretty rough. decided to do a pull on banner 1 since they're throwing so much mythril at us over the next month, landed warrior of light's helmet and MM's burst. helmet didn't do me any good, but MM's burst is pretty insane, definitely carried the fight. winning setup was:

    WoL - saint's cross/banishing strike, crossover (unused) - standard bearer
    sarah - curaja/protectga, shared medica - doublecast
    echo - multibreak/shellga, shared medica - dr. mog
    Wol - magic breakdown/power breakdown, default - autohaste
    Master - fires within/meteor crush, BSB, ace striker

    RW wall

    i tried a similar setup with shout and couldn't get past kraken doing 4-6K AoEs

    1/1'd them all. AOE stop into AOE AOE is rough but thankfully I had Yshtola precasting Asylum both times.

    First boss was lulzy until he binded Cid. I was like ohno, then TG'd and was like n/m.

    Boss rush was.. eh. I feel like they aren't tuned enough, squishy as all hell, but overall was real fun. No way I can do CM. I don't care enough about FF1 to anyway.

    Had no issues with CM after a first test run, surprised really.
    Went with:
    WoL: Slowga/Saint Cross - Azure Blade RM (also used Excalibur IV and Plat. Shield for the holy damage boosts)
    Garland: Dark Bargain/Full Charge - Truthseeker RM (have his Imperil Dark SB, only character specific for me in this realm)
    Wol: PBD/MBD - Omnicast Fire RM (medal condition)
    Sarah: Curaja/Protectga - Healer's Prayer II RM (shared medica)
    Echo: Thundaja/Multi Break - Dr. Mog's RM (shared Shellga)

    Make sure to apply Multi Break+MBD and possibly Slow asap, PBD is also important for Marilith and Kraken. Marilith is probably the worst of the four but they didn't live long enough to see if RNG would screw me over.

    Ult+: CM crew was WOL (saint cross, slowga), Wol (blank blade and breakdowns), echo (chain firaga/protectga), sarah (shellga) and garland (I had just dollar pulled his ssb). Originally tried without protectga but marilith's 6 hit combo messed me up. There's a brief period of time between each boss to let ATBs recharge so I would lead in with slow ASAP after each boss died. They can do a ton of damage and I only experted since I had no lightning and lost a damage medal. With the A team it was a laughter. The bosses each have very low HP.

    Ult++ I got stopped! Fortunately chaos's mind is like 150 so rosa got out of it almost instantly. No point taking a mind breakdown with that low mnd. He actually does a fair amount of damage and can throw out some physicals, so I went with physicals and celes and beat him up and ate his single target nukes. He has a mere 1.2k defense which after torments feels paper thin.

    Here is a SB less setup for CM that I stole on Reddit. ( this is how I did it you can adjust)

    Warrior of light lv 80 saint cross r3 + slowga r4 (r 3 is enough). Has crossover Sb ( only used once but wasn't needed) RM Agrias of 99 rm

    WOL lv 80 with pdb and mdb both r4 hawk eye RM

    Echo lv 80 with chain firaga and chain thundaga r3 devotion rm

    Sarah lv 80 with ultra cure r4 ( curaja is enough) and protectga r2 RM healer prayer 2

    Matoya lv53 with curaja (r5 and shellga r2) rm healer prayer 1

    RW OK BSB

    Strategy:
    Warrior of light goal is to cast slowga as his first turn on ANY boss, max cast is 2 per boss. Then use saint cross once per boss except Tiamat where you use all the rest.

    WOL pdb and mdb each boss then either attack or ability if you have enough hones

    Sarah and matoya first turn cast shellga and protectga ( refresh when kraken dies) then defend unless you need to heal

    Echo
    During lich use chain firaga only. When lich is dying or transition to 2nd boss cast ok bsb. For 2nd boss use swiftspell only

    When kraken pops use chain thundaga only. When he dies recast ok bsb and use swiftspell only in Tiamat

    Was able to master that way



    Possible S/L
    If slowga misses 2 times on the same boss
    If 2nd boss uses Fira twice before dying
    If kraken ink does too much
    I only s/l onced

    Did CM the Raines way again. Only had 1 SB but it was an extremely clutch one (Hastening Gift). Had 2 s/l due to Lich slowga hitting Garland, but went well after I got past Lich. Lost 6 medals on the winning run due to ignoring 2 target scores (fire, lightning)

    Setup:
    Echo 80 - Curaga / Multi Break / Mako Might / Hastening Gift
    Sarah 80 - Curaja / Protectga / Doublecast / ---
    Matoya 65 - Ultra Cure / Slowga / Heal +20% / ---
    Wol 80 - MBD / MeBD / Dragoon's Determination / ---
    Garland 99 - Memento Mori / --- / Dark +30% / ---

    RW - Metamorphose

    Garland had 377 MAG with an 8* MAG sword and +20% dark armor. Commands damage capped on Lich (holy weak) and c1 did ~31k with memento mori, entry buff, command 2 buff, multi break, and mental breakdown. This barely produced enough damage to win, so I would certainly suggest using a proper mage if attempting to reproduce this strat if you can't reach the stats I mentioned for Garland.

    I to had Hastening Gift, but I did have to hone Chain Firaga and Thundaga finally. There goes my stock of Major Blacks. (And what little Major Lightning I had left).

    I think the CM relies on slowing immediately and then not having Kraken be an asshole. All 4 of the guardians should get 4 turns max, with 3 being more likely.

    After doing a prep on the SB gauge for WoL's BSB, I barely passed the CM(but not mastered cause I didn't bring thunder).

    Didn't bother with CM, but I think U+ was more annoying then U++. Deployment tactics is so damn useful if you have the holy trinity built into your A team.

    What Rata posted actually works perfectly. You really don't need any SBs or synergy at all. As long as you burn through kraken quickly, you should be fine. Slow everything immediately, and none of them can really put out much damage.

    I don't have Wol leveled. Only option for me is Master and I have no fire attacks unless I use Matoya.
