Middle Earth: Shadow of War (Mordor 2) PC/PS4/XB1 - October 10, 2017

You don't get the Dominate skill until Act 2. Go ahead and plow through Act 1. Prologue is like a 15 minute mini movie, which was kinda bleh. Gameplay is very similar so far to the first game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I did an "Online Vengeance" mission, where my character got dropped into someone else's world to kill an orc that had killed him. Got some loot boxes for winning, wasn't too painful.

Big fan of the Nemesis difficulty. Getting my shit pushed in a bit in the beginning, but I absolutely welcome the better AI and overall big difficulty increase.

I was about to die, already used my last chances, and an orc was going in for the killshot. Out of nowhere another Ranger appeared and killed the orc, saving me. He yelled "FOR GONDOR!!!!" I might have gotten some feels.

I thought the Clueless Gamer thing with Kumail Nanjiani was a joke, but nope, he is in the game as an Orc captain without his voice being changed and it's pretty funny.

Also, Bruz is really cool except when he shows up out of nowhere to discuss the strength of my army and scares the shit out of me when doing so.

Bought this on a whim because it was cheap on cdkeys. Having a lot of fun with it. Gameplay is larger similar but I love the Nemesis system from the first game. I never ended up finishing that one so I hope I won't get bored before the end again.

Also yeah, just killed Kumail Nanjiani-orc.

I did my first Online Vendetta. DIdn't get the legendary items I'm supposed to from doing first Online Vendetta or doing Sneak attack on target. Anyone know how that stuff works?

Edit: j/k got sword of vengeance. Didn't get the items for stealth attack and headshot though. Can you only get one per vendetta?

Edit2: Nvm I was able to get 3 items on my next Vendetta.

Noticed that on PC they got smart and made 4k textures and cinematics a seperate download, cuts out like 30 GB if you don't install them.

I encourage everyone who plays this to blow through Act 1 ASAP, the real fun happens in Act 2 when you get Dominate back and can start building your army. The online Fortress Raids won't open up until you've captured your first fortress.

Had my first betrayal. Dude did it while I was doing a mission for one of the legendary orcs I'd gotten out of the chests. AND he killed my legendary guy. Was originally just gonna recruit him again but decided to shame him instead. Oh well, at least I got legendary armor out of it.

Be careful with shaming, sometimes they'll go full potato and gain incredible retard strength, come back and wreck your shit while HERPing and DERPing all over your corpse.
