Getting auto killed from 900 meters in the fog is fun amirite.

Fog weather really needs the server to not send character data beyond the wall of fog so cheaters have no data to work with other than blindfiring.

As to how reaslitic having the server do 100 radial checks multitudes of times per second is beyond me though

this game is so fucking obnoxiously bad with performance and other issues like this that it just makes me madder every day. i was telling my friend yesterday the moment they sold the first 30m copies or w/e and became gajillionaires, they needed to give the game the FFXIV treatment and basically work on a 2.0 while they did periodic updates for the 1.0

i heard where that the pubg franchise is worth 5.6b now. shouldn't be that hard to get it right.

Yeah but consoles are fucking terrible.

Once they update battleeye it should be OK.

It's only in solos for now and it doesn't work in FPP.

Great game today. About 40 people dropped into the military base.

Hacker drops in, picks up an AR, kills 35 people in the first 2 minutes of the game.

By the second circle there were 19 people left.

autoaim over giant distances.

You just drop dead from headshots when they have LOS on you from 900m or in p much.

I never got around to playing this very much but it sucks what's happened to this game going from the recent posts.

I haven't run into any cheaters that I know of in the 71+ hours I played. Granted, that's not a whole lot of time, but it's not something you consistently run into in my experience at least.

I may try to play some once I get that 970 installed. I've been super busy doing a bunch of other stuff in my free time and Fallout New Vegas has it's hooks in me right now.

Been having some really shitty games this weekend. Keep getting pinched, people seeing me through fog, and other annoying shit. If I get a decent ranged weapon, then I won't get a scope. I'll get an AR then go a whole game with only 30 shots.

Just got killed by one guy up on the hill at Stabler. Another guy took a Kar98k shot at me, then the guy on the hill shot at me, then the guy behind me. They just completely ignored each other. I didn't even get a chance to shoot.

I drop Mili base, I go through one of the dormitory/whatever buildings and find a backpack and a helmet. Run to the garages find a Kar and get immediately one tapped by a guy with an M16, level 3 helmet, level 3 vest.

My luck is just shit for this game.

EDIT: Just had 4x crosshair directly on this dudes head. Hit him three times when he had a level 2 helmet and I died instead.

If you wanna try something else. Try jumping adjacent to popular areas. Houses to the east of Prison is a fun one. There may be one or two people but not a fucking nightmare. Pick some people off, get an AR or something. Go pick people off coming out of prison or grab a car and drive into the circle if need be.

Most people won't do much so anything over 1.5 sqaures from the plane is free loot, even military a lot of the time.
The other option is to long drop for eg military but look for vehicles on the roads below to see if you can get there faster.

I'll usually drop at the latter half of the flight path and grab a car to get to a loot spot if nothing is within drop distance. I'd say over half the people on the plane drop before the halfway point of the flight. Just waiting until the end you can get good loot and not have to fight off 10 people in one small area.

I've had fun doing it. There's always at least an AR there with a Holo or RD. You go to the edge of Prison and pick the stragglers off after the main group is dead.

I do the long drive when playing duo/squad. It's really fun to land north of Farm and grab a car and be in Georgopol to bridge troll by like 3 minutes in.
