Well i'm gonna pass on trying to win Boundless Nemesis, lack of a mage OSB is really killing me when he hits P3, his boundless ethereal cannon spam and his aoes just makes it so I can't survive long enough for Deployment Tactics and Sephiroth's BSB Command 1 to effectively kill him before he kills all of my party. Closest I got him was 1% when Deployment Tactics wore and he killed off everyone starting with Sephiroth and Edge, leaving only the healers alive until his AOE killed them.

I'd say if you're getting anywhere <10% it's doable with your setup. Assuming you took 5 different realm characters, 1% is only ~5k damage. Maybe a little better luck, maybe just a slight tweak or an ability hone. You've got almost an entire week.

Actually I just realized if I were to switch out Tyro's Full Break for Entrust (Doesn't affect Seph's Command 1 DMG and can survive without it), then I could transfer his SB charge to Edge or Vanille for more charges of Last Stand and heals for P3 to survive longer, since his charges are useless during P3, so I take back stopping lol. This guy sucks though with no way to blitz through P3 though.

RW - OK, but considering DT.

Problem is I want Burst mode for Agrias. My last run popped it too early and wore off during phase 3. I also need to manage damage output during phase 2 a bit better. Probably pop an OSB once to nudge him forward.

I play with a self-imposed challenge of only having one of each ability, and I see peeps running multiple copies of LS/Wrath.

Is it still doable for me?

You can do it with 1 copy of LS and Wrath. Just some people want to avoid mechanics and go all out with SB spam on the final 40% (which you should, that part of the fight will kick your ass) Rata and Kuro both had OK and Ysh so that's 2 copies of Wrath needed for their setup.

That said, you can see my setup above and I only use 1 copy of each ability.

Infinity down. Setup as above, RW DT. Mastered to boot.

No mastery but might go back for it - triggered p3 on accident and had to rebuff so everyone died except tyro and OK. Final party was OK (osb/bssb), rosa (bssb) ysh (ss2/bssb) tyro(bssb/sent) OK (osb/bssb) and the immortal setzer (ssb; atk/res debuff, fixed 3333 damage of 1-6 hits randomly) RW guardian mog. P1 is pretty easy after I was able to get past the initial salvos. P2 was less so but I could out heal damage with a combination of bssb entry and medica or blink and medicax2 to eat meteor; armageddon was terrible and really needed setzer's debuff. Tyro's sbs aren't too useful in the final push since armageddon and 100k are the real threats but ignore def/res and aren't magic blinkable. Maybe I should have carried cyclone grimoire for mental breakdown.

OK OSB is the bomb.

Also, how exactly does OK OSB work? If you have more mag, it does magic dmg, and if you have more atk, it does physical dmg? Is the animation supposed to be different for each one? I'm confused.

No. You have it right. Damage type is calculated at the end.

to add to that buffs are counted in the decision.

Exemple you have by default more MAG then Attack then the OSB will do magic, but if before casting it, someone does shout, and the shout bring your atk higher then MAG, then the OSB will do physical dmg

in nemesis it should almost always be magic assuming you geared him that way because the base stats will bias it in favor of MAG, and he'll probably have -15% attack on top of that.

Like i said, if you want him to use his OSB as magic, gear him towards magic and make sure you dont have ATK buffs. Or do the maths that if someone has shout that if you do ATK *50% it<S lower then your MAG
