Watching this stream. Almost 3 hours in.. you can see the frustration, but good on them for figuring a lot of this stuff out.

Beat our first encounter!

Baths:
4 platforms in the four corners, when you stand on them, you get a buff. If you stand on all four plates, it triggers the encounters.
When you stand on the plates, you lose your buff over time. Once the encounter starts, you can get the buff from the middle room, so you have to split into two groups of three -- basically it's a more complex version of the totems.
In the middle there's a chain that's lowering a block, when it reaches the bottom, it triggers the next step of the encounter. There are also these orange sword enemies call bathers that pop and fuck your shit up (fusion rifles work well against them).
So once all four block have been lowered, everyone needs to move to the middle and you need to destroy these purple crystals -- there are three groups of three. There are also a bunch of adds that spawn, so our group did three people on add duty, three on damage.
After some time, a psion appears in the middle, you need to defeat it or it explodes or something -- only happened to us once, so not really sure.
Repeat the process till all the crystals are gone and you clear the encounter.
Gives the drain key to everyone, one of us got the pulse rifle.
