How the fuck did Ottawa not get a single penalty off that?!
How the fuck did Ottawa not get a single penalty off that?!
Yeah hit to the head that draws blood and pens getting a roughing call. Granted he was reaching for the puck but it's on Ryan to avoid hitting the head. Don't think that's the last were going to see of that.
lolPhaneuf
That was one, but allowing the two-line pass was the bigger thing that killed the trap, allowing teams to break out easier.
I don't hate them, just hate the trap. Everyone plays it a little, especially when leading, but OTT and NJ play it way more than anyone else.
Pens win!
Pens Win!!!
PENS WIN!!!!!
It's so entrenched in Jersey that their AHL affiliate, Albany, also plays the exact same way. When they played the Marlies it was torture to watch.
Sens had some good pressure at the end but oh well.
Been seeing all this stuff about how the preds are boned because they lost Johansen. Not sure about fisher either but I think nashville is going to be even more dangerous. Yeah they have a huge hole at center but that team is run by the defense. And with rinne playing as he has been it's not a longshot that can still win the series. It's Anaheim's to lose right now I think. I expect more of the same tonight as with the last 4 games.
It's about 90 degrees here right now. Not sure if it will affect the ice inside.
Whenever players get hurt it's lose lose for everyone. all the dumb fans are going to be crediting the injury if the ducks win etc. so lame.
Shit, rakell out with lbi for tonight's game.
Almost 100 outside right now.
go perds!!!!
Preds are missing RyJo, Fisher, and I think another player I'm forgetting.
Edit: Ducks are missing Rakell, not Preds, I'm dumb.
Also Getzlaf was fined 10k for using a homophobic slur in the last game.
I just woke up leave me alone.
Lucky it's not 1-0 nashville. God awful line change on that powerplay.

Compared to:"Getzlaf's comment in Thursday's game, particularly as directed to another individual on the ice, was inappropriately demeaning and disrespectful, and crossed the line into behavior that we deem unacceptable," said NHL Senior Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell. "The type of language chosen and utilized in this instance will not be tolerated in the National Hockey League."
Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw has been suspended for one game for making a homophobic slur during Game 4 of the team's first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series with the St. Louis Blues in Chicago on Tuesday, April 19, the National Hockey League announced today. Shaw has also been fined $5,000 for directing an inappropriate gesture at the on-ice officials during the same game. Shaw will also be required to undergo sensitivity training.
Various news outlets are calling the comment homophobic.
Not hard to see how some people would call it homophobic. He's telling another guy they suck dick and making it a derogatory thing.
Vamos los perds! Would be shocked if we kept this competitive in ANA
Rinne stepping his game up knowing he needs a monster game.
