Don't ever use precious job motes to unlock the final node on anyone unless it's Bard motes, you get more benefits from unlocking more characters than getting a 3% boost for one (including OP examples like Bartz).

I feel really stupid asking this but when you say "unlocking more characters" what do you mean?

Also is Sora worth DL if you got all his stuff?

You need job motes to unlock 6* ability access. It's way more beneficial to unlock access to three characters over buffing one's damage by 3%, especially in popular ability schools. Bard is an exception because you can fully unlock all Bard 5* characters and have motes to spare (iirc at least, it's pretty close). Job motes are still extremely limited in JP, now gated behind new Torments.

Yeah, plus with new six stars eventually coming out you really don't want to be in a position where you might not have motes for unlocking. Exceptions might be bard (as long as you can unlock everyone first); knight for orlandeau; and ninja (not a lot of users plus you'll almost always get full value and stitch is bad).

3% isn't worthless but it's like adding a 3rd L15 empower to your damage. Might be worth something for non ele damage, but probably not.

Same, only I now have his LMR now. Shaved 8 seconds off of my liquid flame kill just by getting his physical USB. Too bad his physical dive is double celerity attacks instead of Ninja.

Yeah it's the best pure healing relic available. It's hampered by minwu (bad char) and sometimes you need specific blinks or effects but it heals a *lot*.
