    Choppy AF game.

Hey guys. I don't do a lot of PC gaming (though once in a while)

A couple of friends of mine are playing this free MMO called TwinSaga, so I figured I'd jump on.

The game is pretty stuttery on anything over absolute minimum settings and I'm not sure why. Nobody else is having this issue, either; it's just me.

    My specs

    https://pastebin.com/WcfbEDbh

and the minimum and recommended specs for the game.

    Here is the stuttering

Not a super popular game so there's really no good dedicated place for me to ask something like this

Try setting your monitor to 60hz.

I just checked and it already is? Maybe dxdiag just showed the max? rather than what it was already set to?

That said, I do use virtual resolution to replicate 1440p (my monitor is 1080p native)

Turned that off on both monitors and tried both 60hz and 144hz (max refresh rate for 1080p on my first monitor) and it's all the same. No changes in the stutter.

I used to get stutter like that on ffxi all the damn time. I never found a fix for it other than to just ignore it, and the reasoning I heard was that it was an issue with how the game handles processing over multiple cores. Idk if that's a legit answer or not.

I'm guessing you've updated all drivers and firmware in your system?
Free disk space on your drives/etc.

Seems a bit strange because your system should smoke it.

Yea; i originally had it on my D drive (1tb hdd); uninstalled and reinstalled on my SSD (currently has 88.2gb available) and same result.

Also looked at my CPUsage and never went over 50% with the game up

Drivers are current (minus a new optional build, but I have the latest recommended for my radeon)

Check your logical processor graph in task manager so you can see if it's not just choking 1 core at 100% and the rest at 10% etc.

If it's a DX9 game then it could well be IPC locked - but you'd still expect your system to have no issues so it's a weird one.

Maybe try changing to borderless window and setting resolution to your native, all done within the .ini file. Also, while this probably has no effect, just for kicks make sure to run as admin.

Find the .ini file. It will be where you installed the game (usually). It should be Client.ini. There should be a line stating if 0 or 1 is for borderless window. Also, change the screen width and screen height to match your monitors native resolution.

I found client, but borderless window isn't there at all. CTRL+F border brings up nothing
