Okay the ending bargain of that ep was the best gag of the show so far lol

This show has that small kernel of commentary and love that the old Star Trek series all had
Ep 2 was pretty good, also funny that the orville and rick and morty both had very similar looking alien zoos in episodes so close to each other.
That "woof" part was very funny to me.
Also, I absolutely love how the cinematography mirrors TNG's cinematography
I think seths character is going for a ted mosby where he's just bland and inoffensive and the rest of the cast fills out the development/action/funny side of it.
All I can hear is Brian when he talks. So, I guess Seth's default voice is Brian Griffin.
Last night was an Episode of Star Trek if I've ever seen one. Last 2 episodes did what I hoped and completely sold me on this show.
Yeah the last 2 eps have been a big improvement on the first. I plan to continue watching for the time being.
wtf @ the 3rd episode though
Spoiler: show
I was hoping it wasn't all gonna be dick jokes. It's a good thing.
Spoiler: show
Really loved this episode. It felt like Star Trek.
Certified gold in my book. Just needs more dick jokes. Or I guess I could get that from American Vandal.
After watching the new Star Trek last night, this has become even better in my eyes. I didn't realize how little I cared for the new style of Trek.
Spoiler: show
Given the level of nerddom of Seth MacFarlane, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of what he does with this show is purely homage to Star Trek or Wars or etc.
I wasn't really invested in this show to begin with, but I gave the first 3 episodes a watch. I really liked them. I've also never watched anything Star Trek before outside of the new movies, and this show just made me feel compelled to watch the first 4 episodes of TNG.
Ooooh, you may have to watch more TNG than that. TNG's first season was a bit weak. You ever heard of Jumping the Shark? Well TNG ended up spawning the term "Growing the Beard" which is the exact opposite of Jumping the Shark and is a reference to TNG becoming good only after Riker grew a beard.
7 seasons with each episode being 45 minutes is a bit daunting, but I'll do my best lol
