Needs more stubble.
Yeah, I need to see it with facial hair..
The reaction here compared to twitter responses is not what I expected. I did like the Jaime Lannister comparison.
Not enough makeup tbh, he looks way too pretty to be Geralt.
This is still a bit more toward the "supermodel Geralt" look, but he at least tried to look gritty. The Netflix version is like Fabio with silver hair.
Hopefully this is just pre-makeup/effects.
It's funny cause it's canon that he doesn't like his beard for a long time. The games gave him a beard but they take place after the novels. This series is during the novels I believe.
Beard is whatever, that's not really the problem here. Judging by how awful his hairline is I can only assume this is pre-makeup and he won't look like someone who bought a Geralt costume at party city during the actual show, but having no scars or ruggedness in his face at all is really off putting. Dude looks like Draco Malfoy's dad.
book Geralt doesn't rock a beard, he only grows one when on the road with his hanza presumably because the man has no time to shave. but aye he needs to scar/rugged up, far too pretty atm for a monster hunter that regularly gets mangled. also needs some cat's eyes. but, just a teaser/camera test patience patience.
Immediately thought Raiden from the Mortal Kombat movies (as did quite a few people from twitter apparently). I'd prefer the beard/stubble too, but i at least want the scars/cat eye. Like it's been said, dude is way too pretty right now to be a witcher.
Okay.
I mean I assumed the scar and eyes at least would be added on and this was just a preliminary look. I wouldn't necessarily count on the beard/stubble.

Witcher's filming has completed.
Isn't this the same teaser they had before?
Didn't realize. Cavill posted it to announce the end of filming.
https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-witcher-...ond-1836011068Today, Netflix dropped several stills from the upcoming series inspired by the fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. We’d already had a glimpse of Henry Cavill’s Geralt but here are a few more, plus images of Freya Allan as Princess Ciri and Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer.
