I grew up with Disney and the Muppets, and this is making me want to squeal and check on the shelves for our copy of the original. Preview is looking good; Anyone here want to relive a few childhood memories?

I re-watched it about a year ago and I have no idea how I sat through that as a kid.

Coming August 2019, Voice Cast Announced

The main trio of characters are Gelflings named Rian, Brea and Deet; who'll be voiced by Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Anya Taylor-Joy (Glass), and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), respectively. They'll be joined by an enormous cast of A-list talent, which includes Mark Hamill, Helena Bonham-Carter, Toby Jones, Alicia Vikander, Simon Pegg and Andy Samberg.

I agree completely. I loved Labyrinth but the Dark Crystal was just uncomfortable for me - and I didn't even see it until I was in my teens.

This preview doesn't seem so bad though, maybe because of changes in lighting and the way they film things.

I’ve only watched 3 episodes, but so far this show has exceeded all expectations I could have possibly hoped and more a work of art to such a high degree of quality that I am being constantly amazed at every turn.

Just watched the first episode and it's seriously gorgeous. The puppets, the sets, the practical effects, they're just fantastic. The voice acting is an awesome 80s throwback and the story seems appropriately dark.

So I've literally just finished all of The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance and Spent the whole time dumbstruck at the caliber of the production. Can't imagine how much work went into crafting all these puppets, sets and practical effects and then melding it all pretty flawlessly with CG. Truly inspiring work! 10/10 I hope we get a season 2.
