Saw it with my mom on Friday, had to explain what was going on since she never saw Unbreakable/Split. At the end she told me James McAvoy deserved an Oscar for his performance, which I agreed. I also liked Samuel Jackson's performance as Mr. Glass.

I liked it a fair amount but that ending was kind of off putting.

    M. Night Shyamalan was approached by a major comic book studio, he wouldn't say which, to direct a film for them, but he turned them down.

Finally saw Split at work last night, now I'm ready for Glass.

Man that movie had me uncomfortable/unsettled I can't get that one scene out of my head. Didn't see it initially cause I thought I wouldn't like McAvoy. Wrooooooooong.

    My only problem is
    Spoiler: show
Dunn could have broken those chains during the therapy session and proved he wasn't crazy. Or the horde could have just closed their eyes and turned around and walked backwards to the door lol.
But the rest of the movie was so good that I can ignore that. A lot of people are unhappy with the direction it takes, but I feel like it stays consistent with the last two movies. Other people say Willis is phoning it in, but he plays Dunn exactly as he was played in the first movie, he's a calm quiet dude for the most part. Mcavoy and Jackson fucking stole the show though, absolutely fantastic.

oh yeah that part I'm actually kind of onboard with. And it's nice that part was actually hinted at earlier since sometimes he forgets to do that lol.

    Spoiler: show
my main issue is how they flat out in the open in front lots of people murdered 2 of our supers and no one is like um I have a question about wtf just went down. Can see why randos wouldn't see much wrong with Kevin and they might not have seen David but like David's son had been trying to get to him and help him no way he didn't see that and Casey who almost got shot in the process. No one calling the cops etc not that it would've done much good given how it seems they control so much behind the scenes

I enjoyed Unbreakable and Split more. It was a good movie, but I guess I am a simple man and this wasn’t what I wanted out of it.

Classic shamalama dingdong “PLOT TWIST” that I’m not sure needs to be there. The old robot chicken episodes still nail him perfectly.

    2 twists though!
And as far as "needing" a twist or not this really wouldn't have been that much of a story without one. It'd be fun to watch but much better with an ending more significant than "who beats who?"

For a brief moment when she was talking to Bruce at the end I thought she was going to reveal herself as having some healing superpower, and recruit them to some secret superhero group.

Overall I really liked it. I'd say I'd love for there to be more afterwards but they'd definitely screw it up if they tried. Best to leave us wondering what the repercussions would be.

speaking of, there is a theory going around that:

    Spoiler: show
The girl from Split has some sort of healing power with her hands
