Was nicely animated movie

Easier to understand wtf was goin on compared to "Your name?"

I recommend watching the movie, maybe not as emotional as "Your name?" but it was still pretty good I think.

Its a bit different from its 2D version years ago

Really big spoilers n stuff about the movie from the 50%ish I understood in Japanese, and from watching whats happening.

Basically a love story, where at first the girl has no real interest in liking anyone, she basically just wanted a change in her life. However the two boys she decides upon in a game of "swim competition" she chooses one over the other to take out on a date to see fireworks.

Through fate, the bead the girl found early on in the movie gets into the hands of the boy that lost the swim race that day. By accident invoking some power in this bead, it reverts time a few hours back AND alters the reality he is living, changing the outcome of the swim competition into his favor.

Over time the boy realizes its effect and keeps using it to alter the world around him to his favor, to where she will eventually actually like him. When she finally does fall in love with him, the multiple words disappear and the two go off to together "doing stuff". (At the point she falls in love with him and he shows he loves her, the orb shatters and shows to him and her "possible futures" with one another, like traveling the world etc)

Interesting. Too bad we'll have to wait for DVD/BD release.


Marvel’s Spider-Man Ep1-2

There was nothing about it that was bad but overall it just came off as bland. There was no real spark or pop to anything about it. A lot of setups but it’s clear from the presence of characters such as Miles Morales(Spiderman), Anya Corazon(Spider-Girl) and Gwen Stacy(Spider-Gwen) etc that the writers are thinking long term where the narrative is concerned. We'll see in coming months when more episodes are out, if it'll become something special or just another forgettable Spiderman show.

The Animation is fine in motion but a lot of weird faces.

Considering how long it took "Your name" to come out on dvd, it'll be like 2018 O_o

Then again if someone actually cammed it it would be a pretty good quality... I mean it is dead silent in a theater thats 95% full... you don't even hear anyone eating popcorn/drinking in there even during the silent parts of the movie.

We already knew Ange was the real Charlotte, but I thought the girl we knew as Charlotte was going to turn out to have been a lost sister or cousin who was lower on the chain of succession.

"Ange's" explanation of what the real Ange's life was like posing as Charlotte was really intense.

The anime is about stories coming to life, and the person who knew her.. could write a story about her and bring her "to life" sort of speaking through a story. The ultimate weapon aka "God" is the creator after all, and what better way to destroy a character then through "The God" of the character.

Them "reviving" her creator isn't what I had issue with. Rather, how she took out Alicetaria, negated the harem girl's abilities, and took over Sirius' body.

If anything, she's the epitome of a sort of Mary Sue invincible, overpowered self-insert OC. Maybe that's the point, but it culminates in her being a shitty villain.

I feel the same way.

Re:creators is interesting in a meta way, but the actual show is cringe worthy at this point (I mean it always was but they rode the line pretty well). Altair breaking the 4th wall hurts my soul and nothing about her is fun or interesting. The fight/plot has been dragged out and I can't imagine it getting resolved in a good way.

Interesting idea, horrible execution.
