Kizumonogatari Part 3: Reiketsu
10/10
First impressions:
Fastest Finger First - Neat high-school-bowl style competition with a twist. I like this.
Clean Freak Aoyama-kun - A quirky soccer show that has more promise than Days ever had.
Chronos Rulers - Interesting first ep, neat concept, good introductory hooks. Not totally sold tho.
Angel's 3-Piece - Looks like K-ON kinda. The animation of the characters playing the instruments is INCREDIBLY well done. Leery of the aggressive pre-teen girls tho.
18if - This was a weird one based in some kind of dream/game world. I'll give it a few more eps to sort things out.
Restaurant from Another World - Food porn and the monsters that eat it. Yummeh!
NTR - This season's yuri show. First ep wasn't really that memorable.
Princess Principal was a very pleasant surprise. It's Darker than Black with a splash of Gunslinger Girls. Anyone that liked either of those shows should give it a try. It's original, too.
Shokugeki no Souma OVA 4(Ten Elite OVA)
Made me excited for Season 3.
Spoiler: show
Hanazuki Ep 27 (Season 1 Final)
This episode was lovely, but I'm kind of mixed on it. Kiazuki been a bitch this whole season because she didn't want to express her emotion? I really would like to see an end to these paper-thin conflicts with obvious resolutions. I guess it was nice to see Kiazuki finally showed her true colors and be happy.
Whole first Season is on Hasbro Youtube channel.
First eps of New Game S2 and Gamers were both pretty good. In fact I have a feeling most people 'round here will relate to Gamers very well.
So is Made In Abyss not on CR? Went to look for it last night. So lazy about DLing these days.

Tom and Jerry Willy Wonka(Yes it's real)
Movie is such a mess but this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
Spoiler: show
Star Vs The Forces Of Evil -Battle For Mewni
Love the direction the Staff took in the Season 3 Movie, Emphasis on Eclipsa, and Moon’s early life as Queen added some interesting depth and humanization. And that ending with Eclipsa crystal slowly shattering after Toffee's death. I don’t think Toffee is fully gone as we still have many unanswered questions.
You know this is a kids show.

Storyboard Revisionist on Star vs. The Forces of Evil.
Star and Toffee inside the wand was fantastic.
Spoiler: show
This was such a beautiful scene(Sailor Moon transformation reference)
New Ending theme reminds me of Sailor Moon English Dub music.
OK, well avoiding Tenshi no 3P because it's pedo jail bait. How does anime get away with pandering to people like that?
Centaur no Nayami is just monster girls but with even less personality, comedy or point and more monster in your girl.
Knights & Magic has an interesting premise and setting that's ruined by one of the worst MCs ever. I dunno if Mary Sue is enough to cover it but holy shit it's unbearable.
Hitorijime My Hero is yaoi and doesn't try to hide it after the first episode, but everything is immediately less interesting after that.
Haven't watched everything yet but the above is definitely in the avoid category with some (Tenshi 3P) being actual trash.
Princess Principal the name was worrying but luckily the actual show is lovely. Great style, good action, intriguing setting but I'm less sold on the characters but definitely willing to give them a chance since it didn't seem like building strong characters in the first episode was the point. And if it's taking cues from DtB then I would be OK with slow drip if the back story is decent.
Fate/Apocrypha is normal Fate stuff, though the only thing that bugs me is that they seem to gender bend for no particular reason.
Isekai Shokudou is nice but it's not really a show about anything other than food. It also kind of bugs me that every random customer is a high class connoisseur of food, I get the audience needs explanation or reference but it feels cheap after Shokugeki no Soma.
Kakegurui crazy bitches with crazy faces doing crazy bitch things. I still love it.
Jigoku Shoujo I can't believe this is back on let the suffering and pain begin. How long has it been like 7 years? Definitely looking forward to this.
Made in Abyss 2nd episode was a fair bit duller than the 1st but I'm OK with that since I foresee crazy shit happening.
School of the Elite (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) has a good first episode and a fairly obvious twist, but the setup for the series is pretty good and I can't wait to see how it plays out.
Nana Maru San Batsu is a nice watch, nothing overly special or great but it's a solid show with solid characters.
Mahoujin Guru Guru (2017) was nice, the style is nostalgic and the comedy is a bit obvious and predictable but it's charming as hell.
Aho Girl again a bit predictable at times but still surprising funny, probably the only show to make me laugh out loud. Despite being a short show (10min eps) it feels pretty substantial which is not something I tend to feel about these types of shows.
Too much shit this season lord help me.
eh different strokes and culture and for people who don't let morals get in the way of viewing enjoyment lol. That said there's not really anything else to enjoy and if that's all I'm getting out of it might as well watch hentai. At least something like Okusama ga Seito Kaichō! was rather funny trash most the time
Oh wow I completely missed that there's a new Jigoku Shoujo O.o
That's a hard disagree for me buddy.
I don't mind shows about music, and I don't mind shows about kids but I do mind shows about sexualising kids while pretending to be about music. I don't lament Japan for shit tastes, but it's mind boggling how they get away with this shit lol.
Yes! And if you haven't watched it for a while it's a marvelous return to form that makes you instantly remember why you watch it.
Like I said different strokes . It's not that I don't like shows about music nor do I mind the sexualizing animated children. But as you said it's only pretending to be about music. Not quite as bad as plot in a porn but far less than many other shows that mix the 2 decently.
Not really much to get away with. It's not illegal and they produce a ton of shit that get's extremely censored elsewhere if it ever makes it elsewhere. Like all the delicious ultra violence and language in "kids" shows. God I'd love to see 4 kids do season 0 of Yu Gi Oh.
I'm rather fond of their willingness to produce stuff that some people will get rustled about even if it doesn't personally appeal to me. I can look past that and enjoy the rest. I'm not fond when there is little else but it pretends there is. Like add some substance or full out embrace your trashiness and have fun with it.
Edit: mostly my problem with these lines are when I have a big back log of stuff to watch I get something of an idea of what to prune from here. But with anything somewhat ecchi 90% it's 2 camps. I like boobs and ewww ecchi but I wanna know about the whole show assuming there is anything else (as there isn't always)
While I haven't watched it yet, if what was said in Grand Order is any indication, some servants opt for the swap to make it more difficult to determine their identities. Then you get pervs like Da Vinci that make himself look like the Mona Lisa because lulz. Then again, this gets thrown on its head when you get some swapped servants announcing their name right off the bat, which just makes you think some devs are in it for the fap bait.Fate/Apocrypha is normal Fate stuff, though the only thing that bugs me is that they seem to gender bend for no particular reason.
I'm not entirely sure (the 2nd episode I watched had terrible subs) I don't think this aspect was mentioned yet. Would certainly be more believable and acceptable if that's the case but so far to me it seems like they just do for reasons.
Yeah, the characters that are genderbent in Apoc are mostly there for fap material. Mordred is a magically engineered clone of Arthur, who is also genderbent in Fate, so it makes some sense in-universe. The thing they call "Jack the Ripper" is also technically something else which may be explained later if the anime bothers with it. Frankenstein's monster being female is just there because it's cute, though.
UTW has pretty solid subs for Fate stuff.
