Fucking Xeno has way to much health. 40 minutes of fighting him up, with defense/offensive items, and he still doesn't die, eventually carting me with one-shots. I forgot about cool drinks, but seriously, hes pretty BS; wish I knew how close I was to killing it. I suppose I'll look into a gun that has stronger pierce and more slicing, because even though spread rips him to shreds, it's too dangerous when he's glowing, in phase two.

You can check in advance depending on how many points/decorations/Stones you have, then reload and do quests to get to the decoration you want. Go back to town each time since expedition mode messes with the count. If the decoration is in the first slot, you only need to make the 1st meld to save points.

I managed to get weakness exploit and non elemental boost, but be careful with uploading/downloading saves. Otherwise, you might end up losing all your stuff as you save instead of reload since the options look similar.
That's interesting because Deco farming is bullshit at the best of times, but it does seem like something you would get banned for lol

Why would they ban people for it? It's not a competitive game and it's not really giving an unfair advantage. Cheesing melding was already a thing in past games anyways.

If they never banned people for charm hacking, they wouldn't for this.

I don't think it's a big deal at all, but this game is has a much bigger audience than before and Capcom aren't known for being smart so I wouldn't put it past them.

Large online environments tend to breed that kind of thinking that everyone should be on an equal field so some people cheating is detrimental to their overall image. And it's stupid easy to track shit like that so they could do it if they wanted.

I would be cautious, but I don't personally care if anyone does it.

I won't mind if I get banned as the game has already paid for itself. Along with easier decorations, I can also try all my tempered investigations with bullshit conditions since you can reload if you fail. If you wanted to help a friend, you could also keep reloading a good investigation if you get nothing good from it or fail.

This footage is kinda old considering when I did it but just a short highlight of Great Sword smacks from a Xeno'jiiva that went well. This is probably before everyone was getting past HR14.

    Om Nom Nom

Minus the Normal/Pierce gems and Elementless/2 Crit Eye (still need more Attack gems) for Diablos bow

Wooo boy, just got two Hero stones from one hunt.

Turned into Axe and Bowgun, which I'll definitely get mileage out of.

Edit : and 100% Crit rate (with level 3 Crit boost!) LBG build done.

After watching a couple of game play videos of this I've broken down and ordered a PS4 and this game. Shit just looks too damned fun and I haven't played MW since PS2.
Gonna roll dual blades to start I think. Get my Naruto run on against some bitches.

So, quick question. I'm trying to make some varying Elemental Bows and I'm confused. Hunter's Stoutbow III has its element greyed out. Does that mean I have to unlock something? or just a bug?

Any weapon with a hidden element in brackets is locked out until you free it with the Free Elem/Ammo Up skill.

So I should build... jagras GS..?

Where are you reading this info?

It was on Reddit. Given full access to Decos and Augments, damage output on GS would be

    Jagras
    Barroth
    Great Wyvern (best without Augments)
Leviathian's Fury (best without Elementless gem)

BUT, none of the people mathing shit out took into account that Barroth and Jagras have only very thin slices of Blue. You would be guaranteed to be needing to sharpen mid fight before a monster changed zones.

After fucking with all the above weapons (Barroth and Jagras fully augmented) I settled on Great Wyvern with an extra+2 Handicraft from Death Stench B pants (also they have 2 one slots, needed for level 3 Quick Sheath). Gives me just enough blue to not have to worry about sharpening between zone shifts since the build can't fit in Speed Sharpening.

My whole GS setup (iirc, not at home) is

    Great Wyvern Jawblade
    Dragonking A
    Dober B
    Diablos Nero B
    Nergigante B
    Death Stench B
    Focus Charm

Gems are Elementless, Weakness Exploit, 3x Crit Boost, and 3x Quick Sheath.

    Attack Boost 4
    Focus 3
    Crit Boost 3
    Weakness Exploit 3
    Quick Sheath 3
    Handicraft 2
    Non Elemental Boost

The one that rides on the dinosaurs' back? Yeah I don't know the best way to farm that. Just go to expedition for Ancient Forest and cycle it and the desert I guess?

Nice. I was thinking about making an LBG set and messing with it since I was forced to use it in arena and it was pretty fun there. What sorta look do you rock with it? I know I have some crit boost jewels.
