Haha that is funny. Yeah T Jho is no joke. I farmed regular Jho at a really low rank way before I finished the game and made Reaver Calamity which was frankly way overpowered and I sailed through the rest of the story line. But T Jho destroyed me on my first attempt not even close. Kept carting me with one hit on that move where Jho paralyzes you on the ground looks like a ground tremor animation but you cannot get out of it and then slams its nose down onto the ground on top of you.

I finally got my second warrior stone for long sword! Health regen here I come on my Calamity. Also got a hero stone long sword on the same quest which I will save for Luna/styx long sword.

Really enjoying the thronetaker event quest fun and challenging. I had one run where nerg was on steroids and kept destroying me. Still finished but it took way longer and carted twice to nerg before even seeing the other two. Just hit so darn hard. All the other attempts I easily took nerg down quickly.

Now I just need to finish all the event quests to get the limited equipment I want. Such a tease they gave us the first USJ quest but not the next one to get the HR gear from it. I want that armor for the crit element bow build options.

So, apparently, Behemoth is supposed to be something of a Tank/DPS/Healing fight, where it's in a Super Enrage mode, targeting one player, so the other three have to heal/DPS it. Dunno exactly how that's going to work, since there's no real aggro/tanking in the game, and soloing is questionable at best atm....

Dealing damage to the head generates enmity on Behemoth, and there is a mechanic, a glowing line connected to a player, that shows who has hate.
The devs also recommended that it be someone with a shield/blocking capability, and people should have the wide area skill.

It's hard to die when you've got a weapon augmented with health regen, super recovery, and maxed health boost/recovery up/recovery speed.

Man I havne't fought AT Vaal since the first go around. Finally last night I decided to try it out again. The first go around was a struggle but I was able to do it without any weapon augments. This time I have health regen on my sword and it was so different. Health regen on your weapon is the best thing ever!

Also for everyone here who suggested hammer thank you! Spamming the aerial spin is the most fun thing ever and you can put out some huge numbers if you slot in the airborn decoration and sliding affinity. Can easily take down a Tempered Nergi in 8 minutes even in a sub optimal run.

Just in case it ends up truly necessary you need set roles for behemoth I made a SnS tank build and a SnS healer build.
I played with my tank build for a bit and I'd say it's the closest thing to being immune to death.

Arch tempered Kushala Daora: September sometime (probably 7-20). Apparently you can only use 1 flash pod on him the entire encounter. RIP anyone that isn't a ranged user or uses the 3 piece Daora set and a weapon with elder seal.

Soloed the first behemoth quest where you just wound him. His tornadoes are the most difficult part of the fight by far.
He's weak to dragon.
Gonna try a dragon weapon next time and see if elder seal makes him cast less spells or something.

Drachen armor is amazing. There is only alpha.

Set 2 piece: elemental damage increased for jumping attacks
Set 4 piece: Prevents weapon from losing sharpness during critical hits

Head: Crit boost, airborne, 3 jewel slot, 1 jewel slot

That is a sexy set. I've cleared the repel behemoth fight as well. With LS I found the main trouble was it's movement. It's hard to rack up damage without a tank to keep it in place, couldn't get my spirit gauge up consistiently. Also, I didn't capture any cactuars on the kulu mission, and now I feel like a plonk. Stupid one time special assignments.
