Why would there be an event for a PS4 exclusive game coming to PC?

That's not what he said at all
A full custom quest editor has been released. Bets on if this is where Capcom draws the line with mods?

So USJ Azure Star and Where Sun Meet Moon are the only new events I see for the Autumn fest. Am I missing anything?
edit: A Royal Pain is new too
Finished my Monster PhD and got my 4th attack jewel on the same quest, a tempered Kirin. Only a few more achievements to go and then it really is just waiting for more content.
AT Luna is the exact same fight. Nothing different.
Soloed it first try with the same setup I always do.
Spoiler: show
Luna gamma gear is:
Head - Wide-Range X2, Peak Performance X1, 1 slot X3
Body - Earplugs X2, Tool Specialist X1, 3 slot X1
Hands - Agitator X2, Evade Extender X1, 3 slot X1, 1 slot X1
Pants - Evade Window X2, Health Boost X2, 3 slot X1
Boots - Earplugs X2, Agitator X1, 3 slot X1
Only the body/pants interest me for more earplug options. Otherwise, meh.
Zorah gamma gear is leaked:
Head - Windproof X2, Critical Eye X2, 2 slot X1
Body - Tremor Resistance X2, 1 slot X3
Hands - Earplugs X2, 3 slot X1, 1 slot X1
Pants - Bombardier X2, Critical Eye X1, 3 slot X1, 2 slot X1
Boots - Blast Attack X2, Critical Eye X1, 3 slot X1, 2 slot X1
3 set bonus is still Critical Status
I love the look of this set for sleep/paralyze/blast/poison builds. Just need to slap in Kirin body y or Kirin boots b with either Kulve head or pants for 3 Free Element
Also there's going to be an AT Xeno as well. Gear below:
Head - Blight Resistance X2, Power Prolonger X1, 2 slot X1, 1 slot X2
Body - Flinch Free X2, 1 slot X2
Hands - Power Prolonger X1, Special Ammo Boost X1, 2 slot X2, 1 slot X1
Pants - Critical Boost X1, 3 slot X1, 1 slot X1
Boots - Critical Boost X1, 2 slot X1, 1 slot X2
It's definitely long, boring, and terrible for melee. Zorah and Xeno are probably the worst fights in the game
I never really minded the Xeno fight. Yea it got easier and predictable and can be done in a few minutes, but it always felt like a fun little skirmish to me. It helps that it was a fight that only popped up every now and then, so it wasn't too farmable, but still it never really got to the point where it was a chore for me. I usually used SA on him, so it was always fun getting up in his face (forelegs?), but the last few times I took a piercing HBG and it's just beautiful to see all those numbers pop up when you get a good snout to tail shot in.
His AT fight will most likely be the same exact fight, just with more HP, attack and bigger explosions. That's pretty much what every AT fight outside of Vaal ended up as. It's a shame because the AT system could've been used to make the older monsters act in new, interesting ways (again, like Vaal) but they mostly just act as damage sponges and one shot machines.
I can only assume the AT thing is just a way to get Console users to the Xmas event where the PC players should be able to catch up on content. At which point we'll finally see Oroshi Kirin and Alatreon.
IDK why they don't just dump all the content on PC at once. I could understand to a degree right at the start so players new to MH aren't overwhelmed, but at this point it's just a waiting game.
Case in point, I logged in with the Autumn event launching, did a few runs of the Wyvern Ignition quest, another two quests to finish the limited bounties, got the needed tickets to get the layered armor, and I'm done until the next content drop.
Especially when so much of the data is right there in the game already...
Bit late but if you only want to farm Xeno horns you can break his face then Return from Quest to get a 60~% chance at a Horn drop from break rewards. Takes like 1-2 minutes depending on how good you are at hitting face and it also doesn't use up any of the quest counter so you can do it indefinitely until you have all the horns you need for any Styx weapons.
You won't get multiple potential drops like killing it does from quest rewards but considering how little time it takes and that you don't have to wait for the quest to show back up after 3 runs it's significantly faster in the long run.
Did some Arch Lunaball, and it's just a longer fight, which means the ultimate is that much more problematic and still the only dangerous part of the fight. What's worse is that she seems to gain stacks much faster, and I'm having a hell of a time actually triggering her nova, with flashes, and I'm not sure why. Maybe resists or maybe because she's that much more hyper, and the trick doesn't work if she's doing any attack, no matter how small.
Just get hit by the initial knockdown and chill on the ground. You'll miss most of the damage.
Doesn't knock you down when using HBG; weapon makes the rest of the fight cake but will kill you at full health if you get caught, which is pretty easy to do, given how long the sheath time is, but turns out a farcast works if you're ready for it.
Arch Zorah is now a 25 minute fight and you have to actually fight Nerg to progress in the fight.
I'm not entirely sure it's possible to solo. Took 22 minutes with 4 people doing everything right.
Make sure you have 2 heavy artillery jewels on for the extra canon damage and someone needs to be on one-shot binder duty in the 2nd stage or he'll destroy the gate in 3 hits.
It's actually a kind of fun fight now, if not a little formulaic. But the small touches like Zorah's eruption unless you break his cores, or being able to see him vomit giant fireballs on you as you fight Nergi or the fact you get plenty of time to whack him in the head during the barricade stage of the fight just make things much more interesting.
It's still super easy if you have a full party and at least two of you know what you're doing and work together, but there is still that chance you could fail the fight so it stays at least engaging. It's also nice doing a siege fight like this with other actual players as it puts a bit more energy into it.
Honestly, I wish there were more "Siege" style missions that frequently rotated around as it's a good way to break up the Hunting monotony. Hopefully we do see more in the future and hopefully they don't involve entirely random drops.
This Zorah set might be my new fav. It kinda works on everything.
