I was thinking that too but Calgary already has no 2nd rounder this draft and no 4th too I think? So I sure as fuck hope we didn't give up a draft pick

Engelland has a house in Vegas for what it's worth and as a 5-6 dman was good enough this year. But still, he's 35 and there are a lot more options that made more sense

Edit: Calgary doesn't have a 2nd or a 3rd round pick this year to be specific

Dude he's done... there is essentially zero chance he plays in 2018-2019... the "season off" angle is the start of the hawks trying to avoid the cap penalty hit if he retires with the cap circumventing deal from old CBA
