Isabelle Khurshudyan @ikhurshudyan
@TSNBobMcKenzie is reporting that Brett Connolly has re-signed with the Capitals. Two years, $1.5 million AAV.
Stars are quietly getting pretty stacked.
Erin Andrews and Jarret Stoll are now married
Doubt Markov will be back with the habs
Seems like he's asking 12 millions for 2 years

So Kings in talks with Thornton but nothing substantial yet.
But I retort with 1) cap space and 2) did the Kings not learn that old people do not solve the speed issues after the Iggy trade (which was for a bag of pucks quite literally)
He may not be fast, but his passing ability is top notch. If he's paired with a couple of speedsters he can still help stretch the ice and set up some amazing shots.
That said, I see the sharks bringing him back on a 2 year deal. We have 18 million in cap space, and not many UFA's. I just don't know if they pull the trigger on Marleau as well coming back, or let him go. The 19-20 season is the one that scares me as like 2/3 of the team is off the books at that point. Only 21mil committed at that point, and the following year the only person signed according to cap central is Burns as far as cap spending is concerned at 8million.
