Truculence on the stage!
Surprised Liljegren fell that far but I'm not gonna complain about it.
This shit is so boring. I want more crazy trades!
Should I be amused or disappointed that Bettman is seemingly embracing the identity of being hated by everyone

Ryan Reaves has been dealt to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Not sure yet of the other trade details
Not liking this at all
Pens spent the past 2 years building a roster full of talent, and they win 2 cups.
Now they bring in a goon because reasons.
Didn't see anyone mention it in here, but Philly traded Brayden Schenn to the Blues for Lehtera, the 27th overall pick this year, and a conditional first round pick next year.
Anaheim signed Patrick Eaves 3 yrs 3.75mil AAV
Well at least you've got Oshie until he's 45.
Glad we were able to keep saved around even with his injury history. I know he was due a raise from the mil he was getting but to jump up to 3 mil idk. Term is fine. You were a tad off Cail it's 3.15 aav. Now we need to bring some people in on the bottom 6.
I'm actually a lot more okay with this having watched reaves play, looked at his stats, and read a bunch of blues comments. Yes it's a 1st round pick but it's probably the least valuable one in history... first time with 31 teams so 31st overall and it's a mundane, average at best draft class. Then don't forget we got a second round pick back so in reality we just dropped down 20 slots.
Then the players. Don't get hung up on the word prospect either. There's different kinds of prospects. There's Filip foresberg prospects and there's Angelo Esposito prospects. You seem to think a lot more highly of sundqvist than I or Penguins staff cause I think he is too slow for the NHL and the team tends to agree as evidenced by rowney leap frogging him on the depth chart this past year. A best care scenario for sundqvist IMO is a 3rd line center ceiling with a 50% chance he never becomes an NHL regular.
Reaves by all accounts of St. Louis fans is not an enforcer. Yeah he fights but his GP to PIM ratio is like 1.2 where as sestito had one north of 3. Reaves has about 500 GP in the NHL so he's clearly doing something right. Blues fans made a bunch of remarks too about how he got more lean before last season and worked hard on his skating to actually move up to the middle of the pack as far as speed goes. The impression I've gotten taking a deeper look is he's a much bigger and stronger bobby Farnham "hit everything that moves" guy who will yes also fight.
So we got that for a LOW QUALITY prospect the org had little faith in and for trading back 20 spots in a subpar draft where at 31st overall we had already gotten to the point where everyone was a super dice roll anyways.
Penguins first pick at 51 though was a guy ranked 143rd overall lol
Hamonic is a Calgary Flame. Now what did we give up +_+
Gaudreau
Spoiler: show
Sorry Sep I disagree. The knock on Sundqvist was always that his offense wasn't near what his defense was. He was asked to focus on being a more offensive player. As a result the kid gets himself 20 goals for the first time last year. Bonino is most likely going to get stupid money from someone, so he will walk. Now instead of having the immediate replacement, the Pens are going to have to go and use cap space for a 3rd line center. You can tout Reaves qualities all you want. Rutherford overpaid. To a ridiculous level.
Use your own analogy. Would you give up a prospect and a 1st round pick for Bobby Farnham?
