I am all for this. The latest X-Men stuff besides Logan has been just awful.

that is...alot of money down the drain. guess fox made a whoopsie
On one hand that sounds pretty bad, lost money, bad press etc... but maybe a purge like this is needed, why tarnish mutants even further when they might finally have a chance at being in decent movies after the merge.
Maybe MCU will give me some proper Dark Phoenix loving
The MCU could make 8 connected films all culminating in a 2-part Dark Phoenix.

A reboot of the mutant universe is what's needed moving forward. Recast, (ditch Lawerence heavy plot points), reevaluate what mutants are relevant and should be on screen, and how to smoothly transition them into an ever growing MCU. THEN we can have great overarching plots like Dark Phoenix or Apocalypse or Onslaught or whatever.
I'm actually glad Gambit was cancelled. No faith in Channing Tatum in doing that role, and Origins: Wolverine already ruined enough characters for me.
McAvoy was great...ugh, that sucks...
Love me some fassbender too
They gave her entirely too much screentime, but I maintain Jennifer Lawrence herself wasn't the problem
With the star power they had in those movies, she was the least talented person on screen most of the time.
Someone has to be the worst, even if they are still good lol. The problem wasn't the actors, it was the scripts. Lawrence was in first class, and that was pretty good, should was in days of future past, and that was fucking great. Apocalypse sucked because the script was dumb as shit, just like Origins, or X3.
Nice. Cancel these pointless movies and bring the Mutants home!
While I would be nice to see X-Men in MCU, the biggest hope I've been holding out is we finally got a Dr. Doom that is written well.
I would really like to like the X-Men again. I would also reallllllly like to get a good F4 movie at some point in my life.
I was watching Mission Impossible 2 last night (trying to watch all before new one) and was just thinking what a stroke of luck it was that Dougray Scott chose that movie instead of being Wolverine so we got Hugh Jackman. It's just too bad Hugh Jackman and the MCU eras didn't align
I feel like the MCU is too far along at this point to introduce mutants. It’d be pretty jarring to all of a sudden have this entire new sect of individuals pop out of nowhere. Not that I don’t want certain characters in the same universe, just feel like maybe they’d be better off on their own Earth.
