It's not about the cast, I think Feige's statement was to let people know not to go into phase 4 expecting them to show up.

That's fine. It's great that they are planning that far ahead but it's definitely much better to have a clean slate of new talent. I haven't been keeping up with the comics for a few years but I remember a lot of uproar from readers that characters are being rebooted and classic names replaced.

Out with the old and in with the new.

I don't buy for a second that they aren't planning to integrate all the "new" characters as soon as possible. This is just more smokescreen until Endgame is out. Disney likes money, and no one is gonna sit here and pretend stuff like Shang Chi or the Eternals is gonna make as much money as fully Marvel branded X-Men films.

I could easily see it as "Okay here is our 5-year plan from before we got Fox that has no X-Men in it" So people think the 5-year plan doesn't include them. Next thing you know a post credits talking about a Latverian dictator, or a new school helping special kids.

I have no doubt they'll go slow but to say there won't be any for 5 years? Lol yeah right. Yeah

All things considered, 5 years is at minimum 5 movies? We have at least 1 in Spiderman done and another in GotG3 wrapping up fairly soon. Both to be released within those 5 years. Other movies already in the writing stages. Won't be a long wait really.

Oh, it's totally going to be Spider-Man'd into the MCU. All he is saying is that they have a road map drawn up that they intend to announce post-Endgame that does not include the Fox Marvel slate as they were just acquired.

There's no doubt they're not planning to integrate them, it's just a matter of when when. All these movies are planned out years in advance. Feige said they have movies planned up through 2028.
