Definitely doing Texas for 2024...People say total solar eclipses aren't a big deal but trust me, photos as beautiful as they are don't do it justice.
Only got ~66%, sister got ~95% with no travel. We should both get totality next time though.
My shitty cell phone shots in order...
shitty or not.. still nice.
I hope your phone's camera lens will make it out alive. A few people here damaged their own trying to get anything memorable
I shot those through a pair of glasses lol.
After 26 years America gets to witness such an astonishing view.
99.something% in Asheville was pretty disappointing it was a little cloudy but the edge never went away and it only got slightly dark
Shep smith forced to cover the eclipse of the sun when he hates it

the video is fucking hilarious
The sun is 400 times bigger than the moon. Amazing, thanks Shep.
Was in a forest above John Day in Oregon. That was by far the most ethereal and alien thing I have ever seen. I can't even put into words how amazing it was.
If you ever have a chance to get to totality, do it. The difference between 99 and 100% is the difference between night and day. Literally. I saw stars.
But how do the stars know to come out during the eclipse ?????
I'll probably go to Hot Springs or somewhere a little secluded in Arkansas and watch it from a lake or something.
Apparently the next solar eclipse that will get 100% totality for where I live in Florida will be August 12th, 2045. I'll be 60 then, assuming I live that long. Fingers crossed.
