solid deal. leaves them with cap space for next summer's binge but Pope is a darn good defender and a solid volume shooter. if he ever gets into the right situation he could be a poor man's Klay Thompson. LA prolly isn't that but i'd throw 18 mill at him this year to see if it is.
36/11ast/8reb/5stl for lonzo tn
Local news had an interview with George who said the Pacers asked the Warriors for a Klay for George straight up trade.
Spurs lost Jonathan Simmons. What's up with that? From what I saw in both the Rockets and Warriors series this year that dude can straight up ball.
Also not clear if his 3pt shooting from playoffs is sustainable
I'm curious to see how much he cost the magic

Looks like 3 year 20 mil
Oh we got Johnathon Simmons? Wow that is a nice surprise. Really didn't expect us to do anything worthwhile in free agency
I would imagine that likely means someone is getting traded away from Magic too.
Rondo to Pels
Implosion chance +50% (and it was high to begin with)
BOOGIE
Cleveland close to signing Derrick Rose
extremely well, and they played well on the court together. but this idea of starting Rondo at the 1 and shifting Jrue Holiday to the 2 in a lineup already bereft of shooting is kinda bonkers.
Rose actually had his best season in a loooooong time last year. if he really signs for pennies on the dollar he's an enormous upgrade over Deron Williams and Shumpert.
Kyrie reportedly asked for a trade at the last team meeting
I think Shumpert is a better fit in the starting lineup since he can make some 3s and defend. Rose has some utility leading a 2nd unit, but he can't space and can't defend so he isn't much use if he isn't creating on offense.
All Cleveland roster decisions should be made in the mindset of "how does this help us against GS?" I can't see how it does.
According to an article on ESPN, it's cause he wants to be more of a focal point and doesn't want to play with LeBron.
Damn, Kyrie never seemed like a guy with a big ego needing to be the number one guy on the team.

Spurs is preferred destination, but willing to consider Knicks, Heat and TWolves
