I didn't even realize the season starts next Tuesday.. that's.. awesome.
That little teaser of Embiid last night has me so fucking hyped I get to go to a Sixers game this year (Sixers/Suns on NYE).
PLEASE STAY HEALTHY
We're going on 11/29 (wife's birthday) for the Pistons vs. Suns. Only home game that week. I'm excited to see the new arena!
Last call for fantasy basketball, need two more teams

San Antonio signed LaMarcus Aldridge to a 3yr 72.3mil extension
Kendrick Perkins signed with the Cavs' D-League team
I really can't understand it on any level yet. The Spurs are a small market but I'm pretty sure guys want to play there with a chill team-first superstar in Kawhi and the GOAT coach. Given that, you'd much rather have the cap space to spend on a better player than what LMA has been giving you.

re Aldridge it's uhhhh, wat? he's a better player than people give him credit for following him flaming out against the Dubs without Kawhi but 20+ million a year until he's 37 is a headscratcher when he's already clearly in decline.
they are arguably within one Zaza footslide from being NBA champs so maybe Pop wanted to run it back with the same cast again, hold off on changing up until Tony and Manu retire. but given that will probably coincide with the 1 or 2 years left on Aldridge's remaining contract sans extension it's mostly a big ol uhhhhh wat.
why Spurs
why
No Spurs No
I really want to give LMA a chance. Pau and LMA are the softest front line that are flat in the front.
New thread coming tonight
Spurs are clearly concerned they can't get great players to sign there, so they're locking up a good player for another 2 years (3rd year is only 7M guaranteed so they can ditch him then if they want)
