Mulan is heading to Disney+ for the heavy rental price tag of $30
$30? Jesus Christ. $20 I’d be willing to pay (for a movie I wanted to see) but I don’t think there’s any movie I’d rent for $30.
2ppl @theatre is gonna be more than $30 with food etc.
I'm good with it.

So $30 just to watch it, not being able to see it on enormous screen, no overpriced food (which your still basically paying for) on top of now having to spend money on let’s say popcorn and pop at home, let’s say 2 people, that equals another $7-8, and that’s not including the monthly cost of having to subscribe to D+
Things look brighter if you have a lot of kids to really save on ticket prices though
$30 to watch a movie at home? And you can't even keep it?
Fuck that.
Oh I plan to keep it, just gotta be sure to use a VPN so the mouse can't find you.
That's kinda wild, I wonder if they'll OD Tenet, Bond and them. I wish I could deluge it, but that would be illegal. iI'd be like stealing cars.
I wouldn't even pay a nickel to watch it. >.>
They want me to save their bandwidth and just torrent it? Cause thats what gets me to just torrent it even though I have the big 3 streaming services all ready to go.

So they want people to sub D+ and pay $30?

Not that I was interested but this is a hard pass. When we get around to watching it it'll be free. Sub plus $30 to watch in our own home, lol. Worse visuals worse sound worse immersion similar price.
I remember talking a couple years ago about when streaming new movies to home would start how much they'd charge, and we figured 2 people's worth of a non-full ticket price since you should have the option of pausing and finishing later etc but lose a lot too. I figured $20. $30+Disney+ though, lol.
If the rental is only 24hrs even worse.

It will be released in theaters in countries that currently don't have access to Dis+.
I guess it’s a deal vs going to the movies if you have like a family of four or larger. But for one person household that’s pretty nuts.
I think he just means compared to going to a theater. Taking a family of 4 and buying any snacks or drinks puts you at like $70-$80. I'm still not gonna get this for 30, I have no problem waiting till its free, but its definitely way cheaper than it would have been.
I'd probably pay $30 for Black Widow. Mulan though...lol pass.
In a few months after its release it will be free on D+. I can wait for that.
From what I read, you also get to "keep" it as long as you're a D+ subscriber a la PS+ etc.
Personally I don't think it's super unreasonable. If I took a date to Alamo Drafthouse, after food and drinks you're easily looking at $75.
That being said, I will scour the 7 seas for it.
the price point is insane
