HBO's "Confederate"; aka Why your black friends were mad at HBO on Twitter this week

On mobile so you don't get any links but Aaron McGruder of Boondocks fame is attempting to shop "Black America" to Amazon, an alt history series in which freed slaves were given Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama as reparations after the Civil War. The show would follow the relationship between "New Colonia" and a declining United States in present day.

The show has been in the works since February but producers felt announcing it now in Confederate's backlash would be best so it wouldn't seem like they were piggybacking.

The same people raging over Confederate are, not surprisingly, gushing and praising Black America.

I've always pondered something like a SEZ, but for ideology not business.
Pick a state, and let the right completely have it, pay to move in anybody who wants in, and evacuate anyone who wants out before they start.

they canceled on star wars to do netflix stuff. there's no way anything they do is gonna be well received at this point, i have to believe their careers are fucked. they sure made out like bandits tho
