I didn't know they did those with the kids around. When i worked for a school, all their active shooters were mainly done for the staff and cops, so they would understand the layout of the schools. Who the fuck is doing this shit with students around.

The fact that anyone at all thinks someone in an active shooter situation is going to calm their nerves and think to themselves "ok, remember the drill" is completely out of their gourd.

Fire, earthquake, tornado drills all give people time to react and respond. Maybe not a lot of time but at least enough time to process. Dylan Klebold spraying his AK in the cafeteria not so much.

the active shooter training i have to do every year (run hide fight) mostly involves watching videos then taking a quiz after

if you fail the quiz you can just keep taking it until you pass
