Spoiler: show
Lotta wasted time for a 7 episode season.
Spoiler: show
Not bad overall, but between Sam cleaning shit and Danny landing they must have wasted like, ten minutes. Are they really having so much trouble writing dialog?

Hmm, I think the Arya/Ed Sheeran scene (never thought I'd say that) might end up becoming an important point in Arya's character arc where maybe she starts to temper her murder spree a bit.
The dude who played Euron was doing his best to steal his one scene. The banter between him and Jamie was pretty good.
Good stuff from The Hound, Jon, Sansa, Littlefinger etc
Wasn't a fan of the Sam stuff, or the overly long dramatic arrival in Dragonstone. If this had been the first time the audience had seen Dragonstone, then maybe, but I'm just over like to Stannis lived there for two seasons, we're good.
edit: I'm a dumb.
I was snoozing after the Jon part, too much pussy power, little bear was cute for couple eps but I'm over it now, mad at that train wreck of an actor being Euron...
Do we have any idea how much time has passed from the end of season 6 and the start of season 7? Cause you know who was locked in the maester vault. Didn't think it had been that long since Danny told him to find a cure. Cause that arm looked way worse than it did the last time we saw it.
Dude built a thousand ships pretty fast.
kinda dull setup episode, Hound and Arya got some decent quiet moment characterization time (plus my boy Ed Sheeran laying down them pipes), and i warned you suckas Sansa v Jon drama was brewing last season. the Samwell montage and endless Daenerys walk were indeed rubbish, and Jamie-Cersei bickering was a retread of basically every bickering scene they've had the last few seasons. but eh what can you do all seasons of Game have these mediocre moving-the-chess-pieces-around-the-board episodes that build up to something better.
Just remember last season's season premiere might have been the worst episode in the entire series, but the other nine episodes were all fucking lit, so maybe they are going to be repeating that this time.
wish arya killed them slower and revealed who she was as they died, would have been more epic
so who's the dragonscale guy in the cell i wonder
was kinda hoping ed would try to rape arya or something and she would gank him for it hehe
should have had some old servants there maintaining dragonstone and welcoming dany back
Spoiler: show
Sam stealing the key(s) reminds me of something
I'm rather curious if they'll still incorporate Gengry back into the story somehow.
