With all the complaining going on about fast travel and what not here's something I thought of that maybe has (or hasn't) been mentioned.

So after Visceron dies, and before Jon gets smash, presumably the White Walkers are having the army of the undead build massive fucking iron chains? Like where the hell did those come from? Is there a metal fabrication shop beyond the Wall?
Did they just happen to have one ready and carrying it with them in case this exact scenario happened? That annoyed me more than the other shit. Why couldn't the Night King just raise his arms like he did in Hardhome and raise all the dead? It would have been just as epic him flying out of the water.

about why he can't just raise the dragon out of water... something something water interferes with NK magic etc

about the chains, the theory is that the NK is actually a greenseer and he has anticipated the whole scenario, which is why he trapped Jon and the magnificent seven by having them attack that small band of walker/wights, and then come and surround them at the lake, NOT attack them and wait for Dany to bring the dragons... this might also explain the travel speed: maybe the guys weren't just sitting there for one night but several days (although no real indication of that to be sure)

Irrelevant to the leak stuff but I've found it so strange how viewers of this show are quick to normalize and champion incest by shipping Dany and Jon, and for a brief period last season shipping Sansa and Jon and I even saw some people shipping Lyanna Mormont and Jon for fucks sake.

HNNNNNGGGGG ICE DORAGON! Wtf just happened. Appart from a new nitpicks that could possibly be explained away by the Night King being a greenseer, holy fuck. Pretty amazing EP so far. Night King riding Ice Dragon into battle going to be some epic shit. Here´s me hoping Jon will ride w/e the other dragon is named and do some epic air battle with Night King riding Ice Dragon.

Plus, I thought I had read that scripts weren't even started until the previous season was fully aired, due to all of the post production work, and then the massive press tours that D&D go on.

Edit:: nvm. Just tried to confirm, but read that an HBO exec confirmed in July that the scripts for the final season are, in fact, completed.

Magy the Frogs prophecy to Cersei said the "the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you". The show runners have said that every line has meaning. Looking back to when Missandai was talking to Jon and Danny about the Prince Who Was Promised, saying that that the prophecy could be misinterpreted, because the word used for Prince was gender neutral. What if, since Valonqar is High Valeryan, it is also gender neutral, and Cersei is killed by Arya, and the "hands wrapped around your pale white throats and choke the life from you" is her using The Strangler poison.
