Don't check bags. Problem solved.
Don't check bags. Problem solved.
Are you flying Delta for both legs or swapping airlines?
it was delta>airfrance>klm i think or delta delta klm something, and im not wearing the same underwear for 2 weeks boi
the one im eyeing now is delta for both flights coming and going I think, https://goo.gl/flights/hKcoR
Get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
between that and a backpack, you got two weeks of clothes ezpz unless you stink.
If you're going Delta->Delta, it's a one-shot at check in for checking bags.
I did 10 days in Paris in cold weather with that roller. Just gotta learn to roll everything and pack efficiently.
by one shot you mean I dont have to leave and pick up my bag from baggage claim? I wouldnt have thought I needed to before either since klm/airfrance/delta are all the same company
I have a giant old plebby cloth suitcase with 2 wheels I stole from my parents.
I'm sure you've lost bags before but the whole "identifying your lost luggage" charade was infuriating, my bag had at least 3 tags on it with my name on it + a barcode label. Having to point out a similar cloth black rectangular suitcase in their varieties of lost luggage just for them to say (HEAVY GERMAN ACCENT) Hmm we think we know where your bag is but we have to verify that its yours (aka youre never gonna see that shit again :^))
They aren't the same company, they are partnered up and in the same alliance. I honestly don't know what their interline agreements are. You're better off hitting up someone who flies Delta a lot.
interesting, also now that I'm applying for new cards I need one without foreign transaction fees that I can use for 2 weeks and then never again
Most airline cards have no FT fees. AMEX Plat and Chase Sapphire Reserve are both no fee as well.
I dont fly very much though idk prolly not worth the hassle at this point.
One thing I noticed from my last trip was how renting a car through AAA here was strange in that for the same rental car company, going through any other website was say like 300 euro for 2 weeks, on AAA it was $300 and the insurance was much more reasonable with AAA
like there was some weird $:euro issue but AAA was always cheaper and in usd
I don't bother with AAA internationally. I just make sure to put it on AMEX and they have sick insurance coverage.
why is it so hard for a rental car company to tell me exactly what car im gonna get
I dont want "or similar"
because they have fleets fam.
Still lame, think I'm gonna go with a "premium sedan" this time and hope it goes over 200 kmh
Sixt has either jaguar xe, bmw 3 series, and some mercedes in that set so hopefully I don't get tricked
I'm looking for a website or something where I can map out all the places we want to visit just to clump them by days better but I'm having a lot of trouble finding a suitable one.
I dont want directions between places which seems to be all google maps can do? I have a list of 20-30 places we want to see and I need to see them all laid out on a map.
Google Trips

Also abusing the saved locations on Google Maps of the place you're visiting is nice too.
Google Earth maybe?
